| is the growth chart usually right?? I was just wondering if the growth charts i've seen *mainly on yorkiepassion.com* were accurate? according to the chart my little daisy should be about 2-2.5 lbs fully grown...does that sound right for a 8 wk 2 day old yorkie that weighs 12 ounces now? (not that it matters, really, i'm just curious - i love her no matter the size) |

| It was pretty accurate for Jake. He was 1 lb. 10 oz. at 10 weeks, and he's 4 lbs. 4 oz. full grown. Yours is soooooooooo tiny.

| So far as I can tell, Uma is a little behind where the growth chart would have her..but she could have one more spurt. I really hope so, 'cause I really want her to be above 5#.

| Its usually somewhat accurate, but there are the occasional random yorkies that are totally off the charts...bigger and smaller.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Generally it's pretty accurate, but there are always exceptions. Some yorkies that are big when they are 9 weeks old never grow and stay very small. Others that are small when young, grow very quickly and end up being teapots. The yorkie worked for Bengi till he was like 16 weeks old, they he kepts staying a little bit lighter. He was supposed to be 6 lb according to the chart, but ended up being 5 lb. |

| Hi Well Maya weighs 2 lbs at 18 weeks and the chart says she will be 3 lbs fully grown - lets wait and see. They are all Angels no matter what size. |

| It worked for my little Summer. When she was 9 weeks old she weighed 1.5 pounds and when she was a little over a year old she weighed 3.5 pounds. Lola on the other hand I don't because I have only had her for a few months. I don't know how big she was when she was a puppy. I know she was really tiny though...bc when she was old enough to be spayed they said she didn't weigh enough. Or maybe the vet didn't feel comfortable...I am not really sure...but when I got her I had her spayed. She is way too small to be bred.

| i forgot to add. its also good to go by the parents and grandparents size as well. you have to add in so many factors when determining size. my boy was small and by the chart should have been 4lbs. he ended up being 8lbs.

| My yorkie Dylan only weighed 1.2 lbs at 8 wks and now at 18 mths is 6.5 lbs. According to the chart he should have been only 3.75 lbs full grown so it sure didn't work for us and he doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. He is actually a little to skinny. Even at 6.5 lbs he seems small enough though and is such a little sweetheart. |

| It didn't work for me either. I have Desi who weighed 1 lb 6 oz. at 12 weeks, should have been 3 1/2 lbs tops... she is now 6 1/2 lbs. and Millie was 1 lb. 2 oz. at 13 weeks.. Was suppose to be 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. tops... and is now 5 1/2 lbs.

| The chart did not work for Miko He was 1lb 2 oz at 12 weeks, and he is 11lbs now and not an ounce overweight But then again, he was very sick when we got him.
