To Shave or NOT to SHAVE???!!!

I keep Loki super short. I just clipped him again on Sunday. In the winter I leave about 1/2" to 1", in the summer 1/4" or less. He just gets too hot, and his coat is SO thick that the "insulating" thing must not apply to him, because he pants unless he is shaved.

I'll take a better picture when I get home. I think he is so cute.

We keep Rex & Rowdy really short, especially in the summer. Here's a pix of Rexy - I can't find one of Rowdy - I have a new computer and they must still be on the old one. Anyway, Rowdy looks much like Rexy.

TOTALLY not true. I am an assistant at a groom shop. And to shave or not to shave, it's all in personal preference. I have Bouncer in a very short puppy cut for his summer cut. Lotte cut down with bell bottoms, and my two new babies I am growing into full coat. It all just depends on how well you plan on taking care of the coat if you want to keep it long. All of my guys, even Bouncer with being short, get brushed EVERY DAY.

if you haven't seen the pic...it's on page 2 (i think)....it's to the skin...but rather cute because of his yorkie tilted head...ehehhehe
