| What do you do???? Hello all. I just wanted to know...if we are walking our furbabies and/or they are in out arms and we get attacked by dog that is obvious trying to kill or baby...what do you do? We all know we would defend our baby to the fullest even death for some of us. I heard Mase (spell check me someone ) is like Binaca to dogs. What type of defense weapon would be appropriate for dogs like (i.e pitbulls) and where can you buy these items so you would always have them in a case like this? Gizmo and Trinkets Mom

| When I was 6 months pregnant and my pug was still a puppy, a pitbull attached him and had my pug in his mouth. Out of instinct and adrenaline I pried this beasts mouth open and got out my doggie, all with my preggie belly hanging out. Looking back I know it was dangerous but my first instinct was to get my dog. The owner of the pitbull just shrugged it off like these things are supposed to happen. Luckily, everyone was ok but it could have been a disaster! The throat thing is supposed to be true although I;ve heard that you punchh the dog on the outside of the throat and they just back down. Does someone have any info on this? |

| I sometimes carry OC (pepper spray) on me. It does work on dogs, as police sometimes use it on them. It has no permanent effect but can be extremely disabling at the time. I haven't yet used it on a dog, but I've seen it's effects. My dogs have been attacked while on a walk, and on their leashes. It was terrifying! Unfortunately I didn't have any means of defense with me at the time. |
