IF you guys want to pass judgment on people you don't know than thas your perogative. I said my peace. I also whats wrong with America as well too because I am hyper sexualized self absorbed and sometimes overindulgent as well when i can be, Oh and I have a Yorkie... but that doesn't make me a bad person who shouldn't own a dog Like i said i said my peace, and am really glad i can spread positiveness in this world instead of pass judgment on everyone around me. At least when i do I do it to their faces rather than behind their backs... but this is not directed to anyone personally just directed toward the negative sentiment on this subject n general. Dont be hypocritical. ps for all those mother of young girls.. IF you teach ur kids right from wrong and communicate with them and let them know how u feel. those little girls will take what you have taught with them every where they go, and will use what you say to help them make better decisions. | |

| ![]() I really don't have a problem with Paris Hilton having a yorkie. She seems to take good care of her dogs and seems to really care about animals. She may not be the most responsible person out there but I really do think she's a nice person at heart. I don't know her personally so it's hard to say but I read a lot about her and watch E! all the time so I see her on the "Simple Life" and on the news. She's made some bad choices before (but honestly haven't we all done some things we'd go back and change?) and she normally comes off seeming pretty dumb but she really seems like a pretty sweet person. And anytime I've seen her say or have anythign to do with animals, she seems to really care about them. So far as Britney Spears - I do not like the fact that she bought any kind of dog! She has already rehomed like 6 now right? Plus she has two small kids, is going through some kindof crazy life crisis right now, and just seems a little wacko. I don't think she truly cares about her pets - at least not in the sense that she is going to provide a forever home for these babies. I just think it's pretty strange that she went and bought a yorkie like 3 days after Paris Hilton did and spent less than 30 minutes picking it out...she went into the store and straight to that yorkie. I really hope she gives this dog a great life and a forever home, but I don't think it's going to happen. I think she's going to find it too much work with having two sons or will rehome the dog when the next guy comes along that doesn't like it. Sad... I have no problem with celebrities dressing up and toting their dogs around in public. Most of these celebs love their pets and want them to be out with them. I think a lot of people assume that these celebs just consider their dogs accessories but do you really know these celebs personally? No. I really think most of them love their pets. I dress Lacy up every day and take her with me almost everywhere. I put her in her stroller or carrier or just carry her in my arms. Sometimes we even wear coordinating outfits. I love showing her off. But just because I do that doesn't mean I think of her as an accessory. I love her...I think of her like my child. No one would say a celeb was using their human baby as an accessory just because they dressed up their child and brought it out in public. I know I dress Lacy up and bring her out with me because she is my baby...maybe these celebs are doing the same thing. I just don't think we need to be so quick to judge these celebs. I think most of them probably do care about their dogs. Not so sure about Britney Spears but hey, maybe she'll surprise me

| ![]() I think what worries me is that I wonder if their lives are stable enough to be good dog parents. I certainly understand that they need the unconditional love that a dog gives, and if they have a staff that cares for the animals I guess the babies would bond with them. But their careers require so much travel and events, etc, I understand why people get upset by it. In Britney's case, she has 2 very small children. I realize not everyone makes feels like I do (my dogs are my children) They are a huge part of my life and most decisions I make about plans, vacations, revolve around them. I hope they all will be good dog mom's.

| ![]() paris hilton is a dirty skank and so is britney and there is no denying that, they both deserve to rot in jail. However this does not make them not deserve a yorkie any less then any of you. I for one think its ridiculous to dress your dog up and treat it like a child but by no means should you stop doing it, its your dog and im not bashing any of you for it. Dont get me wrong in winter time due to yorkies having no under coat I do put a army fatigue coat on my rocky but thats for warmth and ill even admit it looks cool. But im not gonna sit there and torture my dog by playing dressup everyday. And I dont care what anyone says, no dog likes to be dressed up. Yes they eventually get used to it and I beleive the only reason is to please you. At first when you dress them they get all bothered but after a few dressups I dont beleive they get used to it or like it, I think they just do it to make their owners happy cause they like the reactions you give when they are all cute in their little dresses and what not. Of course this is all my opinion so please dont take it as an attack |

Second of all - there are some dogs that do not like wearing clothes and no you should not dress those. My parents yorkie pouts if you put something on him so they don't ever dress him except for maybe a quick picture or for a holiday or something. But most dogs aren't bothered at all by it and some actually do get excited about getting dressed up. Putting a dog in clothes is NOT torturing the dog. Lacy has never minded wearing clothes from the first time I put a sweater on her - she didn't act like anything was different. She actually stayed with a friend for almost a week recently where she didn't wear clothes and didn't have her hair pulled up. When we got home, the next day I got her clothes out and she really did get excited. She ran over to me. She was honestly excited about it - i guess because it had been a week since she had been dressed. I don't understand how anyone can have a yorkie and not think of it as their child.

| ![]() I think we all have to much time on our hands, lol. I have been working alot lately, I try to bring Tilula w/me when possible, I check up on the husband, kids & Tilula by phone-if I could afford to hire some one I would. When I have days off I dress Tilula up & take her places that are pet friendly to show her off in her stroller or latest carrier-she loves the attention as much as I do. I'm sure these celebs see that their children & pets are safe & cared for, its to bad they will realize that their children call the nanny "Mom" & the security guard "Dad" & that the dog also thinks the same ![]() |

| ![]() Actually I don't have children and don't plan to. So my dog is my child and I will treat her that way. If I did have children, my dog would still be treated like my child.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | ![]() I think if they want dogs, let them have dogs. We don't know how they treat them, and it isn't fair of us to say that they treat them badly just because they're famous and rich. And they take their dogs with them and dress them up. How is that any different than what most of the people on here do? There are constantly posts and threads about the new dress someone just bought their dog. and There have been a million threads about "Where have you snuck your dog into?" and a lot of people admit they take their dogs everywhere with them. Why is it ANY different for celebrities? We can say they only think their dogs are accecories or what-have-you, but what it all boils down to is that we don't really know whether or not their dogs are treated like their babies. We've had A LOT of drama on this site this past week. One of those things had to do with someone saying that a beloved member of our site didn't take care of their dog. We all stepped up and defended that member, saying that the person who said she is neglectful doesn't know her personally, etc. I can't stand Paris, Lindsey, or Britney, but that isn't because of their dogs. We have people on here with 10+ pets. But we don't hound them for it. This is all JMO. But some of us REALLY need to understand that other people CAN take care of their dogs.

"Oh look she has a carrier like Paris Hilton" ... grrrr, so I said, "Paris Hilton does not love her pups as much as I love mine." And FYI, my carrier was NOT like Paris Hilton's
