| Scared! Bobby might have Kennel Cough! What are the symptoms of Kennel Cough? Bobby sneezed about 3 times yesterday & I'm a little worried. He seems to be active & whatnot & eating but I'm just so concerned!

| I'm not sure about the symptoms but Lacy sneezes somtimes throughout the day. I think sometimes they sneeze just like we do...stuff in the air and all. Maybe someone else knows more about all the symptoms but I'm assuming it would involve hacking and coughing as well.

| Oh okay. Yesterday he seemed to wheeze or hack but it wasn't much & it kinda turned into a sneeze. Hopefully, this is nothing! I'm just a worried Mommy! Thank you

| If he wheezes or coughs a lot, take him to the vet. Max has had kennel cough a couple of times. He get it from doggie day care, even with the Bordetella vaccination. They give an antibiotic, it takes about a month sometimes for the cough to go away, but it's not serious if it's treated. If it's not treated, it could turn into pneumonia. Sneezing, by itself, if it stops, I don't worry about. Who knows what he found to smell?

| the best way to describe it is it sounds like he is trying to get something out of his throat.. kinda like a goose honk. Layla got Kennel Cough from the groomers, she was on antibiotics to keep it from becoming pneumonia, but kennel cough just has to run its course. you can put on a vaporizor at night or hold them in the bathroom with the hot water running.. the steem is supposed to help. Layla took a good two months to fully get over it. Hope your little one doesn't have this! |

| My Archie just got over kennel cough he got at the groomers. So much for the bordatelle vaccine! He has had it before but this time was nout coughing -- instead he was sneezing. He also tried to throw up, but nothing came up. He did not have diarrea (sp?), but he lost his appetite, even for his favorite foods. The doctor put him on antiobotics and told me to isolate him from other dogs for 7-14 days. I think the symptoms can vary, because when he had it before, he had a terrible cough, diarrea and vomitting and was really a sick little guy. Only the vet can tell for sure -- good luck with your baby.
