| Thinking about getting a boy? I have another question for those of you who have two yorkies. How old was your first yorkie when you decided to get another one? Also I have read in all of our yorkie books that yorkies have a hard time with another yorkie of the same sex. Is that true? Is a boy funner than a girl? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks so much!!!

| I have heard that getting a girl yorkie when you already have a girl can be tough but I haven't heard anything about males. I wouldn't imagine that it would cause any problems though...

| I have boy an girl that are 20 months old. I got the girl first and then got boy 1 wk later. I love them both but have to admit that at least with these two the boy is alot more loving and easier to deal with. She's stubborn and not very social with other dogs. He was also alot easier to potty train then she was. I would like to get another yorkie but not sure yet if it will be boy or girl. I will wait and see what I fall in love with LOL LOL

| I agree...I have two--1 boy and 1 girl. Emmy is a daddy's girl. I think the boy's love their mommies more! It is the same way with my daughter's 2.

| Kayla was two years old when I brought Cory home. At first she was not happy about having to share her space with someone new, but now they are the best of friends. They still have their little spats with one another, but I figure that is normal and it's nothing serious. Good luck if you decide to get another little one.

| I only have one girl, but we've been interested in getting a boy. I think having one of each will be fun and Keely really does need a playmate.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I have a boy and 2 girls. I had the boy first then I got a girl and they got along just fine. Now I just recently got the other girl and they all seem to get along. They don't fight, just play fight but I think it all depends on their personalities if they will get along or not.
