Thanks Chico! So that quote is from a registry that will allow the breeder to choose whether to dock or not? Interesting. The AKC standard states that the tail be docked: Tail Docked to a medium length and carried slightly higher than the level of the back Beautiful dog in your avatar, by the way. |
Not a freak! Hello! Your baby is not a freak at all!! A lot of posts here say they can be cropped or not, just depends. I believe if they still have their tail in tact, that just means there are more yorkie parts to love!! :D |
My Reece and Darla both have tails...baby Soleil has her tail cropped..I LOVE both!! Dawn |

Yes, The FCI connects the oficcial kennel clubs in countries outside USA (but only one kennel club in each country). The docking has been banned in many countries so I think that is why the standard was changed. So if you have a dog in a country that bans docking your dog must have his tail when you show him. You can only show a docked dog if he was born in a country that allows docking. If you have a dog that is born for ex. in Iceland and someone has docked his tail, you can not show him. Only if the tail had to be removed because of injury and you have a vet cetivicate to proof that. |
1 Attachment(s) My CoCo is a freak too..."Freakin cute" that is!! She was born in Germany and never had her tail docked. It is so darn cute. I took this picture this afternoon. Check it out....:p |
Awwwww...check CoCo out with her itty bitty butt in the air, which I've heard is lovingly called BITA!!! |
