| Ears My yorkie which is 5 months old, has her ears still flopped downward. I saw a yorkie at Petco and she had her ears perked up. Any comments as to when my pup will have her ears standing up? tks...

| At that age you are probably going to shave and tape them and they might come up

| Oh wow! When I got Romeo I waited and waited for his ears to come up... I shaved them, taped them, massaged them....and nothing. They were still flopped over. So I said forget it...Im going to have a floppy eared yorkie and I will love him all the same! Then, after I quiet trying...his left ear went up...and the right stayed floppy....and then finally the right ear went up! LOL...I think he was just being stubborn lol!! |

| They don't always come up by themselves, some don't come up at all. Usually you start trying to get them up in the first few months. Some people wait until after teething, but still work on it right away. If they don't come up at a young age, then you have to help them along by shaving and taping them. Try doing that, but you might want to find out when the "cut-off point" is for their ears coming up so that you aren't working in vain.
