| I didn't like doing it...her breeder told me to try it so I did...I wonder if they would have went up on their own later on. Her breeder had shaved her ears (wish she had only done the tips because it took forever to grow back and her ears looked huge for a while). I think I used masking tape. It came off pretty easily so that I remember since she didn't have a lot of hair on her ears. I think if i had it to do over, I would have waited to see if they would have stood on their own first. If they weren't up by 5 months or so then maybe I would have tried taping them.

| Mari's was up at 6 weeks, Kodaks was up then the flopped and never went back up. So now I love his floppy ears, they only go up when he gets excited.

| I believe that Copper's breeder shaved his ears (top half) for us at 11 weeks, they were standing that day. But I think that it really depends on the dog and ears, just like kids, they are all at their own pace! |

| Luigi just turned 4 months and his ears are straight up. But when I got him just in June, one of his ears was floppy at the tip and bent back. It was cute, like a little trademark of his. But now theyre straight

| Welcome to YT! Roxie's ears were up by 8 weeks. She should begin teething very soon. So her ears might go down...but I think floppy ears are cute! |

| I have complete litters that were born with their ears up and never went down. Then I have had a couple in a litter that required coaxing by taping for a couple of days here and there.

| My first puppy was born with her ears looking like they were up and they never went down. I had another litter that was three weeks when they went up and I have had two that i have had to work on forever but finally went up at four months. |

| Zoeys went staright up at about 9-10 weeks. It only lasted for a week. They both flopped back down. Now she is 17 weeks. Both are up, but one is floppy if she is tired. We never taped them. I saw some good iillustrated instructions on the web if you are gonna give it a try.

| My puppy is 10 weeks and her ears are not up yet. I talked to our vet and they use Co-Flex. I dont know the real name of it but that is what we call it on my ambulance. Its what you use to stop bleeding. Its like an ace bandage but its like tape that sticks to it's self. You can get it at any medical store (I think even walmart) but petsmart carries it in all types of colors. I would try that. Our little furbaby loves it because it doesn't pull on her hair!!
