| Can names be too similar and confuse a dog? I was wondering if anyone has two dogs with similar but slightly different names and if it confuses them. For example: Mindy and Cindy. Why I'm asking is that I have a Lola but I like the name Fiona. If I named my next one Fiona would both dogs be confused because the end sound is the same? I know people can tell the difference but can dogs? I know this is a silly question but I just wondered.

| Thas a good question. I know my baby had a problem with the beginning sounds in words like the sit and stand because of the S sound so i had to do a different word for stand so i used the japanese word for stand which starts with a k. I know that I have a problem with my neighbors bulldogs Dolly and Dally... I think the dogs can get confused off of that.. I think because u started with two different constants that start their names it will be ok. |

| I named my babies Tia and Maria and they both know their individual names but if one thinks the other is getting a treat, they both come running

| I think they'll know their own names, but they'll still both respond when you call them.

| I have Monday and Friday and they response the quickest to "Cookie treat" .... Joking, but someone did say that might confuse them. So far Monday (the 4 year old) knows her name, but Friday (the 8 month old) is always looking perplexed.

| We have Reecey and Gracie....wayyyyyyyy too confusing here!! I would suggest names that are different but its up to you...try it out with Lola and see if see responds to it..if she does it might not be a good idea...Fiona and Lola dont sound the same to me...and have a different tone to them...Reecey and Gracie sound almost exactly alike when you say them..and they both come running...lol..
