Is it safe to bring Bobby outdoors yet? I wouldn't want to get him sick but I'd just hate to leave him home with no one.

He had his first batch, I think. He's 9-10 weeks old & I just get so sad when I leave him home.

Definitely wait until the second round at least. I waited until the third round to be safe, because there are still a lot of horrible diseases that they are exposed to at that point. Then, when you do take him out, carry him, and don't allow him to be exposed to any germs. (Don't put him on the ground, around dogs, or let people you don't know hold or touch him.)

Oh, okay! Thank you. I feel like an unfit mother since I took him out a couple times because he got so sad when I left!

He'll look sad while your leaving, but once you're gone he'll probably just sleep or get into trouble.

The sad truth is that we usually miss them more than they miss us.

I second that! When Mango was just a little pup, on the few occasions I took her out with me, it was always in her doggie bag. I NEVER put her on the ground, so as to avoid contact with the nasties, and I was very careful to take her to places not frequented by other dogs.

Better not to risk it, if the little guy has not had all his shots yet.

Argh! I just saw that picture of him on Dogster sleeping under his blankie with his little teddy bear.... I could have just reached right through the screen and smushed that little face.

How doggone cute is that!
