| Thank You All For Your Caring Posts! [/B]I RUSHED BOOBAH TO THE VETS, I DIDNT DARE WANT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES WITH HER. THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY CARING AND TOOK BOOBAH INTO THE EXAMINING ROOM WHERE THE VET WOULD CHECK HER OUT. DR. JULI WHITE, TOLD ME THAT BOOBAH IS A VERY LUCKY DOG TO BE ALIVE. MY HEART WAS POUNDING A THOUSAND BEATS A MINUTE AS SHE SPOKE. SHE ASKED ME IF SHE WAS ALLERGIC TO ANY MEDICINE, I TOLD HER "NO". MY "DAUGHTER" WAS THEN TAKEN INTO THE ROOM AND I WAITED FOR VET'S RESULTS. THE DR. SAID THAT THERE WERE NO BURNS AROUND HER MOUTH, AND AND WANTED TO TAKE XRAYS OF HER FRONT AND SIDES. I TOLD HER GO AHEAD. THE RESULTS ARE THAT HER TRACHEA IS CLEAR, HEART IS DOING OK. THEN SHE PUT THE XRAYS ON THE WALL, SHE SHOWED ME WHERE BOOBAH HAD INGESTED A COUPLE OF PIECES OF WIRE FROM THE CORD. SHE SAID THESE PIECES WERE MORE THAN LIKELY TO PASS THROUGH HER. SHE ADVISED ME TO KEEP BOOBAH "OVERNIGHT" IN THE HOSPITAL SO THEY COULD KEEP A WATCH ON HER. I.E., IF SHE EATS WELL, IF SHE DOESNT DO SO WELL WITH EATING THEY WERE TO PUT AN IV ON HER SO SHE COULD GET SOME NUTRIENTS. BUT THE VET SAID MORE THAN LIKELY SHE WOULD BE OKAY! SHE SAID THESE FIRST 24 HOURS WOULD BE CRITICAL AND TELL THE WHOLE STORY. I AM TO PICK PUPPY UP TOMORROW, THURSDAY AND 7AM..DR. SAID IF THERE ARE ANY COMPLICATIONS SHE OR ANOTHER DR. ON ANOTHER SHIFT WOULD CALL ME. I SAID I WOULD HAVE THE PHONE BY MY BED. OMG, I WISH ALL OF YOU READING THIS WILL PRAY THAT SHE WILL COME OUT OK. AND YES, DR. SAID SHE WAS ELECTROCUTED, MY BROTHER WAS THE ONE THAT TOOK HER AWAY FROM THE CORD. HE SAID LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS HAVING A SEIZURE WHILE SHE WAS IN SHOCK! BUT DR. SAID TO BE POSITIVE AND I WILL HAVE MY PUPPY BACK IN THE A.M. IF ANYTHING GOES AWRY WITH THE PUPPY TO TAKE HIM TO HER VET. I KNOW THIS IS A LONG POST BUT I ALMOST LOST MY 2ND PUPPY! I WILL KEEP ALL OF YOU POSTED ON HER RECOVERY AND FOLLOWUP! TKS A MILLION...GILBERT

| Just reading these posts.....I am soooooo glad to hear that she is alright....I think it is best that the vet keeps her overnight just for observation....My lil one (5ths old) has just discovered electrical cords these past few days......and needless to say she has already chewed up one (which wasn't connected to any electrical power thank God) but I now have all cords covered or up high out of her reach.....They really do need to be watched every minute that they are out of their playpen or crate....

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh, so sorry to hear this, but it sounds like she is doing well. That's a definite miracle since by biting through, she could easily have been electrocuted. Thoughts and prayers are with you. |

| Oh my gosh. What a lucky little girl. I am so glad she is ok. I am praying for her complete and fast recovery. This is so scary and I think it's a fear we all have when we have a puppy.
