| New Yorkie Mom! Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a new Yorkie owner and I'm sooo in love. It's a little boy we've named Gizmo. This forum has wonderful information. I've been very concerned over what to feed him. The breeder had him on a mix of wet and dry Science Diet. After research on YT though, I think I'm going to switch to the Canidae. What about treats? He's so tiny right now, 12 weeks and 2 pounds. Any suggestions would be appreciated. He's such a sweet, sweet little pup. Thanks in advance for your help. |

| Hi Jody and Welcome to YT. Gizmo sounds wonderful and congrats on your new additon. When mine were little guys, I tried not to give too many treats, but honeynut or frosted cheerios were a big hit. Also, little pieces of cheese or yogurt drops were both things by babies like and still do like best. Can't wait to see pictures!!

| Welcome to Yorkie talk! We had given Gracie and Halle cottage cheese and sometimes would cut up peaches into small pieces when they were smaller. They are now going on 3 and 2 years old. They love green beans, carrots, cottage cheese and boiled chicken. Of course, we cut everything up into tiny tiny pieces so they don't choke on them. I am going to try making home made doggie treats tomorrow. I have a recipe and heading to the grocery store tonight. Heather |

| Thanks for the ideas. I'm going shopping tonight! I'm so lucky...my boss is a dog lover and I can bring Gizmo to work with me. We've set up a play pen at my desk. It's great! |

| Congrats on your new little one. I used cherrios also, the vet recommended them when my little ones were littlier. You will love YT...it has become my best way to get information on Yorkies. I am right near you in Florida. If there is anything I can do or help in anyway, please contact me.

| I previously had a little cockapoo named Chipper. We lost him just 3 weeks ago at 11 years old. It still breaks my heart. I got him when he was only 3 weeks old (lady told a big one). Anyway, he also came to work with me every day. He turned out to be the sweetest, friendliest, smartest little dog and I think it was because he was exposed to so many different people. I am hoping that bringing Gizmo with me to work will do the same for him. Everyone here loves him to death! I'll post some pictures soon! |
