I use these also. It is a no tears formula and the leave in spray conditioner works great.

| I've tried several shampoos on mine, and recently got my free sample of Minksheen. I really liked it so ordering a larger bottle for them. They have 3 different shampoos in the bathroom already, lol. I just know one day I will reach for mine, and grab one of theirs |

| Funny you should say that! LOL I DID. I accidentally used the Minksheen! It didn't have the same effect on my hair, so I rewashed. My husband did tell me that he loved how it smelled because it reminded him of Gizmo.

| I've always used Pantene shampoo and conditioner on mine. I use baby shampoo on their faces. After rinsing well, I spray them with Johnson's Baby Detangler. Mine haven't had any skin issues. Some people have yorkies with skin issues and that could present a problem. This is from the YTCA: Yorkies are a “single” coated breed, meaning that they do not have an undercoat. Their coat is very similar to human hair and we suggest not to use human shampoo. A dog has a different ph balance then humans and using “people” shampoo can result in dry, itchy, flaking skin. If you do use a human shampoo, please make sure it’s a good quality. Remember to completely rinse the hair after shampooing and conditioning. It is also best to remember to always brush the hair on a Yorkie that has been sprayed with a light mixture of conditioner and water. Never brush a Yorkie coat when it is completely dry because this will damage the coat. http://www.ytca.org/grooming.html

| Paul Mitchell makes a pet line that smells great, but lately I've been using coat handelers clarifying shampoo, my conditioner (Redken all soft) and chi silk products. And for us this works great the Chi silk helps his coat not break it has grown faster since I started this. |

YT 500 Club Member | This is an interesting thread. Some say only use pet shampoo, others use people shampoo. I have read on the internet on a Yorkie site to only use pet shampoo, but I would take advice from those who have some experience. I have used both people and pet shampoos, and I do have pet conditioner, but the Pantene that was suggested on YT works best. It seems that it really depends on the Yorkie's coat, and I still don't really know what is best. It must just be preference.

| Wow, never knew you could use people shampoo. We'll have to try Panteen next time to see if it's better than the pet shop $7 shampoo! |

| I use WEN on Lola... We bought it off QVC for ourselves because it was all natural. Then Chaz Dean (who made wen) said he uses it every other thursdays on his labs... i decided to try it on my baby. It makes Lola's hair so shinny and soft... it works really well and it keeps her clean for about 2 weeks. The only WEN shampoo you cannot use on your dog is the tea tree. You can also use the oils he has the night before you give your lil' yorkie a bath. http://www.chazdean.com/ChazDeanStudio.swf
