| I can't wait to see the pictures too!! I am actually taking Chloe (10 months old) on a road trip with us too!! My bf and I are driving to Chicago later this afternoon (3-4 hrs drive) and we are staying in a pet-friendly hotel!! Yeah! They don't charge any extra for dog under 20 lbs!! Hopefully, Chloe would be good and behave herself!! |

| Hi Jodie! I am so excited that you took Sissy and Angel on the trip with you! Are they going to the beach at all? That is such a beautiful part of the USA. I can't wait to see the photos-especially of the car 'seats'. Nina loves to go in the car, but she likes to crawl up to my shoulder and ride there, which is difficult for me as I drive a manual transmission. Whew! Try holding her with one hand, turning the wheel with the other and shifting gears at the same time. I am very careful, but I need to find something for her...

We've been to the beach where Angel had tons of fun running through the water. It was all good till she went a little too deep and needed to swim!! Sissy starts pulling her feet up as soon as they get wet. Too funny!!! We've been to a few shopping areas in the stroller where the girls got tons of attention and we found a couple really cool pet stores. I got an awesome bike basket with a wire framed lid to both keep them in and protect them in case of a crash!! Now, I just need a bike to go with it (my hubby is supposed to get me one for my birthday in September). We also went to the dog park where we met up with Antionette (Artie Merlino), her honey Chris and the pups; Artie, Abigail and Tiffany. I met them completely by accident when I visited my son in January and I was hoping to be able to see them again. It was really fun (and yes, I have photos). We watched the fireworks out of the bedroom window last night (my son lives 6 blocks from the beach). The girls only barked at the first boom then watched them with us!!!! The girls are staying home today as it is supposed to be really hot. The hubby and I are heading to the beach for a couple hours of sunning and then I think we're going to the Botanical Gardens today. This is our last day as we plan to leave tomorrow morning and possibly drive all the way through. We'll see how that goes! Photos promised this weekend!!!!

| Jodie-It sounds like a such a nice vacation! "We've been to the beach where Angel had tons of fun running through the water. It was all good till she went a little too deep and needed to swim!! Sissy starts pulling her feet up as soon as they get wet. Too funny!!!" That is so funny how Angel ended up 'having' to swim! My first gal, Molly Muffins, would get stressed out if she 'had' to swim! But she loved to jump on the first step into my sister's pool to cool off. Only her paws and undercoat would get wet and that was fine with her. She liked going on the pool float with me though. We took her to Hilton Head once, and I do remember a very sandy dog needing a bath every night! She loved chasing the waves rolling in. Such happy memories. We have a bike basket we used for Molly. We would take her to Kensington to ride the bike trail. She LOVED it. If I had a dollar for everytime someone said 'Toto" we could retire! I don't dare try to put Nina in the bike basket yet. She might jump out cuz it is not the covered kind. She is just 15 weeks old now, and still learing the rules. But I hope to one day be able to do this with her too. It is a great upper body workout with that much yorkie-weight to control. I know you can do it! I am not sure if I can do the meet-up on the 28th yet. If not, maybe you can just come over with your girls for a play date???
