Litter Box Info Here's a website everyone that offers a money back gurantee if your dog doesn't learn to use a litter box. I was thinking about trying it myself one day, but for now I'm gonna stick to what is working! http://www.doggy-dump.com/ Hope this helps a little! Jennifer & Nicky

| I bought the litter box and litter for dogs and it smelled funny, it made me sneeze and sneeze so before they even used it I packaged it right back up and returned it. I do have a sensative nose and alergies though

Tucker was using a litter box when I got him at 10 weeks from the breeder who puts the box in their playpen when they get big enough to walk around. We are doing fairly well with the peepee thing but he still likes to poo other places which isn't the end of the world. It has been a real blessing since I do not have a fenced in yard and have lots of sandspurs in what I do have. Also, I like to sleep late on weekends so having his own toilet inside is a wonderful thing - like all potty training with Yorkies it takes time and patience and is, of course, well worth it all!!!!! Tuck is now six months old. Dana

My Bentley uses the litter box and he actually picked it up pretty quickly. Actually we didnt really start him in the box but he picked up Prancers (RIP) scent and began using it so we stuck to it! Its not that hard to train them, all you have to do is put them in the box and kinda push their bottom down and say go potty in the box. Then every time they go give them a treat and applaud them! If Bentley has an accident any where else I bring him to the accident and show him and say no no and kinda tap his nose them I put him in the box and say go potty in the box. He has gotten smart to the treats though and now he likes to hop in the box and make sure your lookin then hop out and look for a treat! Goodluck with your Bentley! Im sure he'll pick it up in no time!!

I use a litter box. I couldn't use the litter that came with it though (the green pellets made of newspaper, etc.) because Riley wanted to eat it. So now, we just you Piddle Pads. We put the pads in the litter box. It works perfectly. It can be a little difficult to train the puppy if you are not consistent. With Riley, it took us about 2 weeks to let him run in the house freely withouot accidents. At least one person in the house had to sit in the kitchen with Riley 24/7 for about 3 days. If you catch them peeing on the floor, you tell them no and stick them directly in the litter box. With pooing, it's a little easier because you have time. If your pup starts to squat, say no and carry the puppy to the box. If yuo have perfect timing, they will just continue their business in the box. Than you throw a party! Give treats and praise the puppy! We are having a little more trouble training TJ because everytime he goes to use the box, RIley comes over and tries to play with TJ, so TJ stops going and than decides to go somewhere on the floor. Good luck!

I am just adding to my post above because it won't let me edit it. I forgot to add something. If your puppy is piddle pad (pee pee pad) trained, and you want to litter train them, try sticking the pad in the box like I do. If they are completely trained to use the pad, they should go in the box. Make sure to place the box with the pad in it where you usually just put the pad. That way you won't confuse them. If the puppy is newspaper trained, place newspaper all around the box. After a day or two of the puppy going only on the newspaper, try placing a piece of newspaper in the box. Hopefully, your puppy will catch on quickly. Litter training requires a lot of time for you to just watch you puppy and be ready to place them in the box. Good luck!
