| Can anyone give me some advice? I appreciate your opinion Lorraine. I have the idea of not shaving the yorkie hair before H months from some groomers who said that to me. They might be wrong. Btw, I'm thinking about changing my shampoo line. I will consider using Chris Christensen or Petsilk or Purepaws or Vellus lines but I still can't decide which one I should give a try. Can anyone tell me which is the best for my yorkshire; I have a silky yorkshire coat. His coat is very soft like silk. Can anyone explain me also a good way to make a hot oil treatment? |

I use Alberto VO-5 weekly and found it to work great Each of the brands you've mentioned are good. And you're picking is all dependent on the reaction of you dog's coat to each. I know that isn't much help. I've used them all and each dog's coat reacted differently to each product.

I have a show Toy Poodle breeder friend that I groomed for her for a year once a month. I learned lots from her, she learned a little from me. I have a Show Pom breeder friend who taught me how to properly groom a Pom. I have yet to see a professional groomer turn out a decent grooming job on any of these breeds. I learned the Terrier breeds by goin gto shows and watching them in the grooming area and asking questions which is what my grooming trainer told me to do, so I did. That's partly how I got going to dog shows in the first place and of course, the rest is history. For shampoo, I have been using the A1 All Systems Super cleaning Conditioning shampoo. A little goes a long way, I love the product and use it in my pet grooming as well. | |

| Lacy will be three in September and she has a coarser coat and it grows SLOW. I don't think she'll have a full coat until she's like 6 years old! It is getting longer but very slowly. If any of you have seen her pictures, I have never cut her hair, other than a slight trim to even it up once. So far this is as long as it has gotten.

| Lacy's just a pet. Although I think she's a beautiful girl, she's in not show quality LOL. I wouldn't trade her for the world though! I have started to accept that her hair may never be really long, but I will continue to let it grow and if it does get long, awesome, and if not - oh well...hopefully the next yorkie I get will have a coat that grows better. I'm going to try a Hot Oil treatment on her tonight for the first time. I do keep her clean (weekly baths) and brushed well everyday, but she does wear clothes every day so I know that does contribute to the hair breaking off. I'm just glad she has straight and shiny hair and great coloring :-)

| Hi everybody, here is my yorkie Kenzo's pics after his grooming today. He just went out with his brother Hanzo today for a long walk. I bathed him as soon as we arrived at home. Hi Mardelin, how is the result of Laser lites? Could you tell me more about it? Have you ever tried C C products also? How do you compare it with CC product? |

| What do you consider a full coat? You mean a floor length skirt? If so by the time Diesel was 14 months his was maybe an inch off the floor. The first time I had him cut was last August. She cut his beard and face REALLY short. I just trimmed it a few weekes ago and it had alreay grown out for the most part. His hair grows really fast.

| Thank you Trixie143. You have a long cute silky yorkie too. Well I would like to grow Kenzo's hair like a dog show coat. I will attend to a dog show here in Belgium and will buy laser lites product and CC white on white too. I will keep you all update about how these products work on my yorkie and maltese. |
