Are Yorkies really that rare?

I think thats the same for Nathan when he has his clothes on too in addition to the fact he is all of 3lbs!!! What can be cuter than a yorkie in a baseball jersey!!!!! And i get all the questions too like what kinda dog is he, where did i get him , and I know he cost you a lot of money they are expensive dogs!! I just smile and Nathan loves the attention and gets a little annoyed if people don't stop to pet him when they pass by!!! he is a social butterfly!!!! just like his momma!!!!

Cody HATES it when people ignore him when they walk by. We were at Petsmart and one of the workers was helping a customer... Cody was able to get close enough on his leash to go and jump on her, well, ankle trying to get her attention

I always get comments in both directions... about how tiny Hope(5 lbs) is and how BIG Tootie(16lbs) is... I have many people argue with me that Tootie is NOT a yorkie... LOL.... and surprosingly enough, more people than not ask what kind of dog Hope is... she is a Yorkie as they come... LOL

I can't say that I've seen many Yorkies in my town...a few at the groomers...But if we're out and about, and see another yorkie...I have to stop and meet 'em, I think it's in my blood!!!

I understand how you feel. On the drive home from Dallas we stopped at a couple of rest areas. The attention both Tiger and Ocean got on these stops were incredible. A lot of people said they wanted a Yorkie, but they were just so expensive.

The attention is because they are so darn cute!! I don't think they are rare, but they are expensive, and need a lot of love, which is so easily given!!

I have seen quite a few here in the Detroit area...not IN Detroit but suburbs. On my street alone (counting mine) there are 4. I see weenie dogs A LOT

I had people come to my door and ask me, do you breed? or this is the one i love, how much for one of those little rats are they for sale ummmm No and those liitle rats are my babys, i offer no info what so ever, im really not a mean or ignorant person, but come on rats get off my property, im ok now...lol

Last night we went to the grocery store. We didn't want to leave Cody alone since he hasn't been feeling well so he and I stayed out in the car (Cody and I went along because if there was cash left over after groceries, we were getting ice cream ) Anyway, someone parked next to us and saw Cody, so he and his wife came over to the car (which was running for the A/C) and were tapping on my window at Cody getting him all riled up and wanting to go out and meet them. I almost opened the window for them, but I could see him trying to jump out after them and I was kind of annoyed with feeling like a monkey in the zoo so I let them look from outside the car

I agree. I know of 5 people in my neighborhood that have yorkies. But to them they are just pets not members of the family.!

I think I've only seen one or two yorkies in my neighborhood. Most of them own medium or lark dogs.
