| Papi, great to see you posting. I have kept up with your story from the beginning and it is truly an amazing tale. You are such a good writer and I have been thinking that this would make a great childrens book. But you must be sure to include, Papi, Patticake and the choo-choo train in her adventures. I really think you would be able to pull this off with your abilities. Something for you to think about. Wishing you the best and praying for your complete recovery. Arlene

| How wonderful to hear from you Papi! I don't post in this thread often, but I follow it daily, and it is great to hear you're doing better. Please don't rush it. As others have said, recovery takes time, so just sit back, read our posts when you feel like it (and DON'T respond to EVERY one!!!), and let us know how you're doing now and again. Our prayers are with you! |

What a wonderful surprise to see you posting here, I haven't read all the post here for some months, have a lot of catching up to do, I did though get to read the last couple of pages and happened to stumble on your name which brought to mind a memorable experience I had one day while visiting Roosevelt Park in Edison, I had gone there with Patticake to take pictures and get some of that cold, soothing water from the springs there, as Patticake and I were leaving a man, a gentleman of large stature, looked like a football lineman was approaching us, I couldn't begin to imagine why or what was about to be said or happen, as you know in our area one has to be wary of strangers, I'm only 5' 6'' and this man had to be 6' 2" to 6' 4" tall, needless to say I was somewhat nervous, on my guard, there wasn't anyone else around, then as he came closer he began asking me about Patticake, he reached out and began petting Patticake, which strangely enough Patticake accepted, as she is very skidish with strangers, your Dad then mentioned how he, your family, you loved Yorkie's, and then related the sad, very sad story and loss of your 2 pound precious baby Yorkie, Tucker , I don't mean to embarrass you or your dad but as he related the whole story of Tucker, how ill, sick he became shortly after your getting him, and the assets which went into the thousands to save him, sadly all to no avail, I was so saddened as your Dad spoke of Tucker, and as he spoke he turned his back to me and walked a few feet away, removed his glasses, and began wiping the tears from his eyes, I was very uncomfortable, saddened to see the crushed spirit of your Dad over Tucker, besides that in front of me a stranger, I nor anyone who would have expected to see this big man to show such sensitivity, emotion, and love for a tiny little Yorkie, I felt terrible and I am so sorry for the loss of Tucker, I as many here know how it is to lose a precious furbaby, that doesn't make it any easier but I did feel your dad's, your pain, we all suffer togeather here at the loss of anyone's Yorkie. I came away from this chance meeting with you Dad so grateful to have met him, with deep admiration and respect for him, it's not often men show this sensitive side, the love in their hearts, especially to another man, a stranger at that, your dad may be the size of a football player but he has the heart of a Yorkie which we have all come to know is filled with love, you Meagan are a very fortunate young lady, blessed and must be very proud to have such a dad. I have only been to Roosevelt Park twice since meeting your dad which was months ago, I was hoping to see him again but he was never there, or I went at wrong time, now that I'm able to get around better, I will be going there more often, Patticake and I love that genuine spring water, also the park is pretty in the fall. I would love to run into your dad again, what a man. I'm not up to coming here to post much right now but when I saw your name, which your dad told me, I just had to acknowledge you, I kind of feel a kinship of sorts through your father, as if I know you, and had to thank you for caring, posting here. Who knows maybe one day I will meet you and your dad togeather at Roosevelt Thank you for stopping in. Papi & Patticake #1 image taken Roosevelt Park 6/12/07 #2 Patticake 7/10/07

| Oh my gosh Papi, I can't get the smile off my face. I for one understand the depression that you are going thru. I have been there myself and still dip down there sometimes. I know with the help of God, your familly and all the friends you have here and little Patticake that you will soon be back to your old self. We have missed you so much....you will never know how much. Take care of yourself please, cause we love you very much. Patty |

| Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Papi, Thank you for that beautiful post. I am proud to have him as my Dad. I had to laugh at your description of him. He certainly is a big guy, that's for sure lol. He was very close to Bandit (Bandit was our beloved Yorkie that passed, Tucker is our new baby ) and he actually has Bandit's collar hanging on the mirror in his car. My Dad isn't home right now, but I know he will be touched when I show him your post. Thank you so much. Your post brought tears to my eyes, really. I do hope that one day I will also run into you at the park. If you start heading over there again to get some of that (wonderful) spring water, my brother is working on an Eagle project and he's building a butterfly sanctuary there. I think you may find it peaceful once it's complete. It is very nice to see you around again. Megan

| Papi!!! Hello dear man and welcome home!!! I am so beyond happy to see you posting here... Please, please do not feel bad about not being online here before now, you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. What you went through before and after the surgery, was so traumatic, it is quite understandable, your long absence. What is important now, is that you just concentrate on regaining your strength, your happy state of mind. I posted this before, but am doing so again because I want you to know you are not alone in what you experienced. When my beloved Daddy had his heart surgery, when he came out of hospital (also too soon), his once cheerful disposition and outlook on life, seemed to vanish. His doctor explained to us that between the apprehension before, the general anesthesia and subsequent medications, a chemical imbalance resulted, which affects one's mood severely. This is appaarently fairly common, so please don't feel bad sweet Papi, we are all still here for you, wanting you to know how much you mean to all of us here at YT. My Dad's wonderful nature soon returned, and all was right with his world, especially once his energy level returned.(His surgery gave us 10 more amazing years with him.)Papi, there is one thing I feel so strongly about regarding Patticake. I do believe a Greater Hand than ours led her to you in preparation of a time when you would be in great need of her healing influence. Like you said, getting up in the morning, taking her on walks, however short, gave you a purpose, a reason to even start rejuvenating those aching bones and oh-so tired muscles. Having her cuddled next to you, or even romping around, must have been like a tonic. Take your time healing dear Papi, you have so earned your return to good health. Whenever you feel up to it, we are here for you. With much love and huge hugs, ![]() Lauren
