| Daisy's pukes just about everytime she goes for a ride over 5 minutes. On short trips, she'll puke when she gets home but for longer trips (Mommy's shopping trips) , she'll puke in her carrier. My vet has told me many different things that can 'eliminate' the chances of puking: Dont let her look out the window when you drive,, Dont feed her before trip,, Keep her in carrier during ride. Weird, because she always went on trips with me (in carrier) since we got her @ 3 months, and she would never puke.. It all began @ 5 months or so.

| YT Addict | My babies have never gotten carsick. I guess I'm lucky though. I travel a lot and they go from place to place.. and soooo.. I'm really lucky that they don't get sick. But try not to feed them before they get into the car, I know that works for some dogs. My border collie used to get carsick, but we made sure not to feed him at least 3 hours before the car ride. Good luck! Ashley

| Sadie only gets carsick in 5-speeds. LOL I think it's just that her daddy's 5-speed shifts pretty hard, so even though she's in her carrier in the passenger seat, she still gets rocked back and forth a little bit...but I can't blame her, I get carsick in Sadie's daddy's car, too That's why she loves mommy more. J/k

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I took Pixie and Cali to Woofstock today and I fed Pixie 2 hours before and kept her in the crate with Cali and kept the air on in the car and Pixie didn't throw up and it was a 30 minue drive!!! First time she hasn't gotten sick so hopefully the above things worked.

| I found that most of the little guys who get carsick, do much better in the look-out car seats. If they can see out, then the motion isn't as bad on them. |

| Three weeks ago when I took Izzie (4 months) for her shots and made it a round trip...20 min to the vet, 15 mins with the vet, 20 min home she got sick for the first time in her crate and then indoors once we got home. I have taken her in the car with me before on days that she went to work with me but this was the longest trip she had taken since I have had her. She goes again on Monday for her Rabies shot and I am hoping that she doesn't get sick. Her appt is first thing in the morning so I am going to hold off feeding her till afterwards...then she is going into work with me for the day....soooo we'll see what happens this coming Monday, I'm keepin my fingers crossed and sayin a prayer in hopes that my baby does well

| Our trainer told us if the parents get carsick, often their babies will too. I've never had a problem with either of mine. She told us to just keep working with them but for long trips, I think there's something your vet can give them to help (same as air plane rides I think?)

| Our Gizmo gets carsick every time we take her anywhere that is further than five minutes away. The poor girl loves to go everywhere with daddy, but unfortunately the longest car ride she can stand is the 1/4 mile to my FIL's.

| Willy is 8yrs old & still getting car sick. I try not to feed him for 4-5 hours prior to the trip. He does better when we are on the highway, when we reach twisty back roads is when he is more likely to get sick. We always keep everything covered in old bath towels, so that we can easily clean up afterwards. Desiree |

| My little girl gets carsick everytime I put her in her carrier but if she is in my lap, she can go on even two hour trips. I think she is afraid to puke on me.... thank gosh.. i would hold her if she did!! Just kidding I would
