What is your baby scared of? I found out today that Tommy is scared of electronic toys. It is the funniest thing! My son has a spiderman toy that sings itsy bitsy spider and dances, well he decided to play with it in the livingroom, and Tommy shoot out of the livingroom yelping all the way to my bedroom! He was scared to death! So I grabbed the toy and turn it on and he wouldn't come near me, just growled at it from at distance. As soon as I set it down he jumped on lap and was licking me, I think he thought the toy had hurt me! I told my son to make sure he keeps spidy up high now, because one day Tommy is going to get brave an chew spidy a new one! I tried to get a pic of Tommy running from spidy but it was just too blurry! :D |
The vacuum, of all things. He scurries off into a corner when it's running as if you're going to beat him. And he hates thunder. Other than that, he's practically fearless!:D |

Levi doesn't like the vaccuum either. He runs for his bed. Hank definitely hates thunder. Even the slightest sound of thunder and he heads for one of our laps. He has never liked stormy weather. |
same here The vacuum! Emmy hates it. She barks and chases it; I usually try to just put her up when I start to vacuum. I don't think Oscar really cares about one way or the other. Emmy also HATES anything that plugs in (that she can SEE that I am plugging in)--mixer, blender, toaster, phone charger...but anything that stays plugged in is okay--lamps, coffeepot, can opener, etc. She is a crazy little lady! She also goes wackly when I dust--it seems she is afraid of the dusting spray and dustrag! I don't know?!?!?!?!?   |
The vaccuum and the leaf and snow blower |
Spencer's afraid of the vaccuum cleaner & the garden hose when we use it to water the garden he takes off running |
I don't know if it's fear or hatred.. Vaccuum, plastic bags, trashbags, flyswatters, tape measures, brooms, rakes, lint brushes, flashlights, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, skateboards, skates, drills, hammers, screwdrivers....shall I continue.. These are things He LOOSES his MIND OVER.. don't know if it's fear..or wth.. |
Looks like vacome is the number one thing:rolleyes: mine are all afraid of it, they dont like storms either, or the lawnmower, anything with wheels, or a motor, they go crazy:eek: |
LMAO...rrosenberry Wow, sounds like too much to list....here are a few of Widgets .....windshield wipers, (and we are full time RV'rs)......ceiling fans....the horn we are training her with....the vacumn of course...and my husbands recliner....when he raises the foot...the sounds drives her under a chair to hide......:) |
Otis doesn't like it when I'm cooking and something smokes or burns (which happens quite frequently when I cook) He runs to the opposite end of the house. Also, brooms, big leaves, and rain. Otherwise, He's fearless!!! |
Thunder for both Seth and Sasha they come running for Daddy or Mommy's lap. |
Honestly nothing yet...Diggy is the fearless wonder. He is only 15 weeks so maybe in time....As for Bella The water hose. |
WATER! bath time is awful... he won't go near us while we're in the pool, and if you're running one of those weird sprinkler things outside, forget it- he won't go potty in the grass (the dew in the morning is a little scary too) Cody doesn't seem to mind the vacuum, but we use a central vacuum system, so the noise is actually out in the garage... When we're outside by the garage, the sound of the vacuum turning on makes him jump a little all in all, he's pretty fearless- although if he thinks you're hurting him (i.e. picking him up to take him outside after an accident or getting shots at the vet) beware, because he will "scream" his head off:rolleyes: |
Adie isn't afraid of much but she avoids the vacuum. She barks and shys away from anything new in the house. If she hasn't seen it before she doesn't trust it. It doesn't take her long to work up the courage to examine an item and get over it though. |
Rosie isn't afraid of a lot. Storms and fireworks don't bother her at all. She is afraid of a whoopi cushions (sp?) though. She was also afraid of a slinky at first but got used to it. She's also afraid of hyper dogs (even though she's pretty hyper herself). |
The vaccuum, he runs out of the room....and the cheap baby gate I bought from Meijer. It is always falling to the floor when I step over it. Usually when I knock it over he is right there so now when I move it he quietly backs away from it.:p |
I think i should name the things that he isnt scared of the list might be smaller. He is afraid of Garbage bags or any bags when i take them out and shake he scared broom always barks at it mop always barsk at it when there is a little breeze and my curtains fly he barks at it same goes for the mini blinds Blender little dogs that bark loud not afraid of the big dogs though lol i know theres more but i dont remember right know |
Obviously they're scared of the vacuum.... Oh, and the garbage disposal. Both are also scared of car trips..They cry bloody murder! |

Ozzie will try to fight with the Bissell (the little rectangular push vac), but get out an electric one -- FEAR city. You'd think at his age (he's 10 tomorrow) and as no one has ever done anything to him with the sweeper except try to make him NOT afraid, he'd have gotten over it. Oh well. I guess if he were a real boy, he'd ride the short bus to school. :D I love him anyway though!:aimeeyork |
I have allergies. If I sneeze suddenly, she'll go running out of the room about 90 miles per hour!:D |
There so silly these Yorkies. Buddy is not afraid of anything except the "Ironing Board". When I take it down he goes absolutely off the wall. He attacks it and won't let go. It's really funny. I have put him on top of it so he would see it won't bite him and he got quiet but when I put him back down on the floor the attack starts up again. I have to actually yell at him so I can continue. He get's quiet, I finish and it starts all over again when I take it down to put it away.:D There's nothing else that bother's him. |

Bubba is afraid of garbage bags, the vac, fireworks and thunder. Sissy is afraid of NOTHING but isn't fond of the vac.-she walks away and goes in another room. |

no teddy bear picnics for us Rocky is OK withthe vaccum. He jumps up on the couch and waits for me to finish. But the other day, I thought I'd take him somewhere new to walk, I have a thick forested area called Spencers Butte next door, and I took him up there to walk the trail. In the deep woods with all of the big woods sounds he was terrified!!! Crept along with his tail between his legs, crouching. til I picked him up and carried him.. We kept going for while, cause I wanted him to relax but finally i said, "wanna go back to the car" He knows what the car is.. And he perked right up. We were singing the Teddy Bear Picnic Song on the way home. Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY |
Jake used to be scared of the vacuum, but now he just tries to play with it and chases it. He's a little bit afraid of thunder. He doesn't shake or act scared, but he always comes to mommy to be held and cuddled if we're having a bad storm. He doesn't seem to care if it's just raining, he likes to sit on the back of the couch and watch it out the window. I'm finding that most everything he used to be afraid of, he's fine with now. I guess he gets used to different things and realizes nothing is going to hurt him. But, I'm wondering how he will be on the 4th of July since he doesn't like thunder. |
