Max is also afraid of the vacuum, trains and those rides for children that are outside of stores. They're usually horses or cars and they are musical. He was also afraid of all of the big Santas and reindeer out at Christmas. My favorite though, is when he saw a big stuffed dog. He stopped dead in his tracks! I took him over in my arms and once he smelled it, he became curious. It was the funniest reaction though. It was like he was thinking "It looks like a dog, but it sure smells different!" |
So far it is only plastic bags that he is afarid of. |

Linoleum and performing in front of an audience! I think the flooring scares her because it is slippery. |
Vacuum (they don't even for it to be rolled across the floor NOT ON) The broom (they can't stand for me to sweep, they follow it and bark at it) and loud/bouncy toys |
Sadie is afraid of the Red Sox. Ha-ha-ha. Michael is a die hard Sox fan (as most of us around here are--Yankees BAD), and inadvertantly claps and whoops and whistles and just causes all sorts of commotion when they're doing well (which, as any Sox fan knows, is touch and go. LOL). A grand slam by David Ortiz can cause poor Sadie to run into the bathtub. LOL We're working on Michael's addiction and hopefully, soon, he can just enjoy sports and not make a federal case out of them. :) |
Cody is scared of thunder and Izzy is scared of almost everything  Cody runs to cuddle with me when it is thundering ( and he is NOT a cuddle bug at all) |
1 Attachment(s) Ziggy is afraid of the vacuum. But he absolutely loves thunderstorms. I have to stop him from watching out the window so he doesn't get struck by lightening. Here is "his" window...no curtains and plenty of nose prints on the glass.:p |
Minnie runs and hids when she sees me getting thing out to give her a bath. She is ok when she gets in but getting her there is the hard job:rolleyes: |
Max hates the vacuum cleaner (like others...it just has to be rolling across the floor and not ON) and FLIES!! If there's a fly in the house, he'll run into the bedroom to hide from it until I find it and get rid of it. The interesting thing is, when we go out to dinner and are sitting outside, he'll sit in my lap and snap at the flies, trying to catch them:eek: |
Good Gracious I forgot all about the garbage bags and windshield wipers--these both set Emmy off! Little Oscar just barks when Emmy does, so I don't know if he's going to be a scaredy cat (dog) or not! |
Bella and Bunny hate the vacuum, any toys that move and make noise, plastic bags and any loud noise. |
A feather! My boy nearly lost his life over it. The wind was sort of blowing it, making it move and he just couldnt understand it! So funny. |
Max used to be scared of the vaccumn, but one day hubby was helping and sucked up one of his toys. Now he gets a toy and lays right in front of it , with his toy and growls at it, even if it isnt running. |
Hannah isn't really afraid of anything, some things she will bark at and and bite and try to "kill" though, like the vacuum, swiffer, flies, bees, lizards, birds, thunder and lightning, and the water from the water hose. |

I have one more that I'm embarrassed about. She's afraid of farting noises with my mouth. We do this sometimes (not all the time since it scares her) to see her go crazy around the house. I know mean:rolleyes: I promise I'm not really mean and I love her to bits and pieces.:) |
They hate the vaccum!! My business partner has to hold all 4 of them in her lap when I do this chore or they run and hide and freak out. |
LOL...we have a world globe that sits up on our book case, whenever we get it down, Yogi and Bogus run away barking and barking...I got an exercise ball at Wallyworld and they do the same with that??? I guess they don't like round things....They will bark until we put them both away:rolleyes: |
Beau is afraid of male chocolate labs (but no other dogs), small children that run, the word "vet", and most dog toys especially the ones that squeak. (So he owns TONS of cat toys). Other then that he is a big ole bully! He eliminates all birds and chipmunks from our yard (I don't want to talk about it) and ANY size dog wouldn't dare come in our yard. Thunder and the vaccum really don't do a thing for him. He doesn't act any different at ALL! Do other dogs have as many quirks as yorkies? My other dog didn't (RIP Roscoe) and he was smaller than Beau! Hmmm...I wonder.... |
Paddington is not scared of the vacuum- he follows me and my mom around when we vacuum the carpet.I think it is a game for him, since we keep stepping back and forth. He *is* scared of the deer in our back yard (or at least he growls and barks at them- I don't know if that is scared, or being territorial.) The hair dryer makes him go crazy, but I can't tell if he is scared or pissed. He is also terrified of his hard carrier and dogs that are wearing cones. My brother found something the other day that was funny that he is scared of, but I don't remember what it was! -O |
skoshi is afraid of much either i would say water, car rides, and the cat lol(he knows when to mess with her and when its time to leave her alone) |
mmm the blender, a lighter that I use to light my candles, any suddlen sharp noise, and big dogs. oh oh, and baths and medicine :) |
Frimousse was very mistreated by her previous B@()*&? owners so she is afraid of almost everything . She is progressing slowly and sometimes its very hard for her to face her fears . When she faces something and realized its not dangerous for her , I gave her treats and lots of hugs and kisses . I will never let her down and one day she'll be a very happy little Yorkie . |
