HERE'S ANOTHER IDEA:

On www.meetup.com - you can search for any and all meetups by city, state. So I was able to pull up the "Modesto Area" (which seems to be including Tracy). Anyway, the list is quite large. I think we need to join everyone of those groups and add Zeke's information over there. Each group has it's 'own' message board that I have been putting this in the subject line:
** MISSING ** Young Male Yorkie ** Modesto, CA

and then once in the thread I post what we have on the My Space page and the link to that page.

So, I need HELP. B/c like I said, the list is quite large, but I do believe we need to do this, b/c is it hitting the Modesto Area - All sorts of people.

Take a look and tell what you think? It is FREE to join, but it will take a good amount of time to join each group and post about Zeke. So we need a plan, we need to divide up the Groups between a handful of people.

I think we should all make a note with our vets to scan ALL new dogs that come in to their practice. I know my vet didn't scan Guppy when I first brought him in. With the escalating occurances of "puppy napping" I think making this a routine part of all initial visits would be appropriate!

I would think probably Maureen should have the fund set up at her bank in Modesto, it could be called the missing Zeke fund, and we can wait a week for it to build up, and then decide how the money would be best spent to find ZEKE. I will ask Maureen to open an account for The ZEKE fund, on Mon, and post the address of the bank where she banks so we all can start sending in checks. It would be nice if the bank would let us put up big Jars with the picture and story of Zeke taped to them, at each of the teller windows, and they could be reading about Zeke while they do their banking, and Mon. should be a big banking day after a long weekend! Would like to hear some feed back if this is o.k. with everyone. Also what would you like to call the account? Maureen would have to get the large jars for each window, and maybe we could get some of the information copied from my space to be taped to the jars, like a picture of Zeke and anymore of the information that is really important that will fit on the jars. Pray that the banks will let us do that.


Maybe it would be best to start a thread just asking for donations for the missing ZEKE fund, it could get other people interested in this thread, and maybe we can get a whole new bunch of people praying and coming up with good thoughts on how to find ZEKE.

I also need everyones input, or would it be better to keep just this thread for everything. I think it was nice that Sharon C was brought on board, from another thread. Of course it would be posted here for everyone on this thread as well, but with another thread just for contributions for missing ZEKE we could get more people interested in the ZEKE story, and the more people talking about ZEKE and giving ideas, the better!

Everyone here has been so on top of everything and is just amazing with the amount of work everyone has done and the effort put forward. Something good will come of all the hard work, so lets all hang in there, and get ready to send your contributions to Modesto fund, that hopefully can be set up by Mon.

Sorry this is so long, it covers, billboards, Detective and PI, and a missing ZEKE fund, and the start of another thread for the funding program only, as well as on this thread!

I use to work at Bank of America and they don't allow anything like this to be set up in front of teller windows. The most important thing to them is selling their products so their windows are filled with the banks stuff. When we had the March of Dimes for premature babies campaign/fund up, the managers were complaining about it being messy and takes up too much space. I don't know how other banks work but anything could be possible at this point.

What do you mean by registered? After Zeke got his chip I filled out the paper and then I also gave the number to the shelter. Was I supposed to do more?

Ok this is what I know .Kodi was just chiped 8 days ago.
when the vet does the chip they told me they reg with the local pound if I want it national I have to fill out the papers on the (Avid Friendship) they are Global. the cost here to reg Global is $18.50 $50 for one time multiple for up to 5 pets
their # is 1-800-336-2843 you send papers to the company and they take it Global

I agree, Zeke could look older, in the two weeks he has been missing due to needing a bath, I was sad to think that neither person saw the blonde this was all done over the phone, and over the phone their stories changed every time they were talked to. I find it also strange the lady is no where to be found and is no longer employed for Paula. I think we need to work on a PI or a Detective. Everything seems so fishy!!!!!!!

Just checking in to see what's up...Nothing on Lori's (daiseymae) lead? Have we tried to locate an investigator yet? Heard anything from the news channel? WHAT CAN I DO??? I can't get this off my mind...we need answers, and quick. For sure keep checking with ALL the vets...Just in case Zeke has been sold. I'll keep on praying...and hoping for Zeke to be found.

Let us know what shelter, and also how much did you pay, as they genreally are registered State Wide!!! at all the Vets in the USA, and Shelters.
