I sure wish I lived closer, so that I could do something, anything more active than this. Anyhow, here is another "comparison" shot, this time with all three pictures together, just in case. Only Maureen could tell for sure. There are definite similarities in the face. We should all keep looking for postings like this. One of them might be Zeke. Edit:The top 2 pics are Zeke, bottom left is listed Yorkie that Adahi found. |
This situation is making me so mad. Why won't the police help her? Why won't the manager at walmart help her? I think I'd be contacting some higherups in the corporate office in walmart and trying to get them to convince your local manager to help more. I also just don't understand why the police won't do anything if you have a witness that saw your dog with those ladies and you have their business card. I wouldn't just let the police brush me off...I'd stay on them to do something about the theft...they wouldn't just make me go away. Is Walmart goign to contact you if they see someone selling ayorkie out front again? Was this woman seen over the weekend? That seems to be when most people try to sell dogs at the walmart where I live...maybe you can spend this saturday on the lookout at your walmart. I want you to find him so bad!!! |

Today I received a phone call from a man that said he believed he saw a woman at Walmart on Sunday trying to sell Zeke. I asked him why he was sure and he told me he was there with his kids and they spent a while petting and holding the dog. He told me she was a blonde woman and she was trying to sell him for $400.00. Today while he was searching the paper for job prospects he came across Zekes add. He claims it is the same exact dog. I immediately called the case officer and left a message, once again he did not answer. I called my husband and he called the Walmart manager, Marcus. He initially told him he would review the tape from Sunday to see if there was a picture of the woman with "the dog." I jumped in my car and headed for Tracy. My first stops in Tracy were the two addresses I have been able to obtain thus far. The first house my son knocked on the door to see if he could hear a dog bark... but nothing. The second a man was outside gardening. I drove around the neighborhood with a silent dog whistle and yelling his name. Nothing. I headed for Walmart still optimistic because this man was willing to help...I thought maybe my luck was changing. I arrived there and had to wait more that thirty minutes for Marcus, the manager, to come out and meet with me. His words were definitely not what I wanted to hear. He told me the stores procedures for solicitors is to ask them to leave, if they refuse then they call the police and file a report against them. So I was told that I needed to wait until he could speak with the other managers on duty that day to see if any reports were filed against any solicitors. If not than he could not help me. I asked about the security tape he told my husband he would look at and his response was "do you know how long that would take?" He told me that the police could request them if they wanted to but that he could do no more for me. So once again stuck. |

Tell him he'll be hearing from your attorney... big butthead that's just absurd. Maybe have someone stake out the Walmart in case they come back. If they do, call 911. Or have someone answer the ad and then show up with the police. Just some thoughts. Personally I think it's time to call in the Yorkie Mafia and pop knot someone. |
I am a lawyer. I work with law enforcement all the time. I live in Fresno. If you would like, I could call from my office or send a letter to the Walmart people asking them to review the tape or provide a copy. I can't compel them to do so, but usually people get a bit more helpful when they think there is a lawyer involved. |

here is the reply I got back from the CL listing He is a 1.5 years old pure breed toy size yorkie, around 5 pounds, with all up-to-date shots, fixed, house-trained. He has no problem with cats, dogs and kids. Very active and cute, will let you cuddle with him. His coat color is blue and gold, and is starting to turn more to gold color. Nice pointy ears, doesn't bark often. I need to relocate him by the end of the month as the new apt i moved to doesnt allow pets. Im asking for $500 obo. *HE IS NOT FOR BREEDING AS HE IS NEUTERED* I located in Fremont if you wanna meet him :) and no his ears are pointy! the picture was taken when he was lying down, maybe thats why it makes them look like they are floppy. It is possable it is him what do I do now I am in NE way to far.. I need some one there to go see with proud mommy. the seller never said his name? He does have ears up. Also did answer the picture ?? Is fremont way away from Prouud mommy? |

I have been keeping up with the posts and praying that Zeke is found and returned to his Mommy. Proud Mommy, I can't imagine what you are going through. It hurts me to just hear this and I wish I could do something. Two nights ago, on the news, there was a story about a male Yorkie puppy who was stolen from his owners in New Castle, Delaware. His owners had just opened the back of their van to get him out of his crate and stepped to the front of their van when someone opened the crate and grabbed the puppy and ran! I've been watching Kalina like a hawk and when a stranger asks if they can "hold her" I say No when normally I would say Yes. I hope Zeke is found and returned soon! |
