We have our wonderful lawyer back, and she has given so much good advice, The PI would be able to do all the foot work that police would not be willing to do, and make sure it would not be possible for these people to get away with ZEKE. We can not hire a PI with no funds, and we have to get the o.k. from Maureen. The PI she has suggested I am sure you have already read about and his charges. I really think with everything we have, it would not be that difficult to wrap this case up. It is good that our lawyer is on board again just in time before we all blew the case. This is something that you have to take the proper steps with, and something that has to be documented, to get the police to corporate with us, and get the ball rolling to get the search warrants. I think the sooner the better to get the PI on board, I have emailed all the summary's to our lawyer and she in turn if Maureen decides to go with the PI will give him all the information I have emailed to her. She is also willing to talk with the police, after she is updated from Maureen, I also gave her Maureen's number last nite, so hopefully we will be able to pay a retainer to get the PI on board, however I know Maureen does not have the funds for one, so we will have to ask for more Gifts for ZEKE, otherwise they is no need to continue to pursue the PI's service. Our lawyer said when Maureen gives the police her number she will be more than glad to converse with him, and help in anyway she can. She and the PI are about 90 miles away, about 1 1/2 hours, and the PI could cost anywhere from 60 to 95 an hour plus expenses. I did pm you late last night, to update you, I am glad you are on board, as I will not be able to be on line all day, but will be back in the evening.

I know you heard Zeke's tiny voice for help, the Lord is as close to us as He can be, and doing everything in his power to lead us to Zeke, I had gone to bed last night at 9:30, and I just could not sleep, the case was heavy on my mind, so at about 12:30, I got up, and of course just had to go to the forum, to see if anyone was on board, and after about 3 or 4 posts, low and behold Galatea posted, I almost wet my pants, she was my dream come true, we needed her so bad right now, and like an Angel from above their she was online, to help with all the questions we have had to get this case solved taking all the proper steps, not to blow anything. I tell you I was so tired I could hardly type, let alone spell, and at times I had to look around to see where I was, it was so strange, it was like I was doing this in my sleep, I never get up once I have gone to bed, never as I really need to get as much rest as I can, so I don't get sick. But here I was and our Angel Galatea conversing back and forth about the case, and she answering every question we had on how to handle everything. I know the Lord had his hand in this one as well as I know my name is Jeannie!!!!!!

After we finished up, I went back to bed and slept like a new born baby!!!!!! The secutiry with having her on board, is the most hopeful and helpful thing that has happend to us, now that we have clues as to where Zeke is. She could not have had better timing nor could I. It just goes to show you Prayers are so powerful and are answered when you least expect it.

Kathy I can not thank you enough for always being here, and always having so much enthusiam about moving forward and fast. You are just the best, and we know we can always count on you. May God Bless you for all the wonderful things you have done, and for never leaving us!!!!! I agree with everything you have said, everything! If it were me, the PI would be on board asap. However it is not me, and not my decision to make. We have to get funds for the PI, and must also clear it with Maureen. I will call her soon. She is going through so much right now, my heart is worried for her. I know she knows I am here for her for the long haul, she will be my friend forever, as all of you will. Now we just have to wait for Maureen to give the PI the go ahead. I don't think it could possibly take more than a couple of days for him to figure things out. We have all the information he needs to wrap this case up asap. May the Lord help us collect the gifts needed to bring him on board.

I also know that Maureen does not have enough friends in the area to help her with out the help of a hired PI, she and her husband just moved here from AZ, and her funds are so limited. She does not have family or friends she can count on to set in a car and take viedo's of the commings and goings, we all have to remember she has 2 children to take care of and she cannot devote 24/7 in this case, her responsibilities are great, and she needs so much help if she were to do this without a PI, and that help is not available to her. So we have to figure out a way to get the PI on board. and pray he will be in the 60.00 an hour range plus expenses. We are talking about 600.00 a day or more, and I think it is going to probably be about 3 days to wrap this all up and get Zeke home. I can gift, but my funds are also very limited, I could probably pay for a least a half day.

Do you have any ideas where or how we can get people to Gift in our hour of great need?

I will be praying, and praying, and praying some more. I will be back on line when I can, which will probably be about noon or later.

Jeannie...That was amazing that you and galatea were both on line...in the middle of the night, wow it gives me chills just thinking about it.
But this morning as I was waking up, still half asleep, I heard that tiny little voice asking for help...I just know in my heart it was Zeke, crazy as it may sound to any one else...I just know it. We are so very close, yet so far away. If I was computer literate...where's Lauren when I need her...or Judy would know how...I would be pm'ing every single person that has responded to this thread, from the beginning...and asking for their help...their contributions...their gifts for Zeke!!!If any one is reading this PLEASE we beg of you Pm one of us for the information to send your gifts...to help bring Maureen and Zeke together again, that is the way it was meant to be. My philosophy has always been "IF IT WAS MEANT TO BE, IT WILL BE" so I know we will solve this problem, it's merely another obstacle, but we will overcome it. I will be sending my gift for Zeke to Maureen, today!!! And I pray that many others will follow suit, we can do this together!!!

Hi all. WOW! I was gone most of the day yesterday and returned home very late last night and I cannot believe how many more pages there were to catch up on. I just feel so bad that with all the family preparations I've been occupied with here, that I have not been around to be of much help the last few days. I just wish I had more time to devote here, like I did before. I just feel so frustrated, because whatever I am doing during the day, my thoughts are so preoccupied with Maureen and Zeke. Yesterday, I found myself walking up to a total stranger with a laptop and asking him if I could "borrow" it for a minute - he kindly offered it, but he was not connected to the internet...:( So here I am checking in now for the first time.

I am so pleased Galatea is on board.... that is one savvy lady. She will keep us all rational and focused.

Is Maureen waiting to speak to the police on Friday before hiring the PI? Also, I have another question regarding the hiring of the PI. Galatea mentioned that she knew of one locally, in HER area, and that whatever the hourly charge would be, travel expenses would have to be added on to bring him to Modesto. Could her local PI not recommend a colleague in the Modesto area to avoid unnecessary expenses? Think about it. If he was hired in Fresno and had to travel daily to Modesto - travel related expenditure would mount up very quickly, where the resources could be put to better use with constant surveillance around the Amsterdam/ Dale/ Snyder streets?

I am sure PI's have networks/ contacts in many cities, especially one that is as close to Fresno as Modesto is.

Jeannie, hope you are rested Hon. I see that you were up in the middle of the night posting here. Kathy too. What amazing ladies you all are - everyone here in this thread.

Maureen, I feel we are close to Zeke. If you decide to go ahead and hire the PI, you can definitely expect another gift from me for your precious Zeke.

Timing is just rotten. The big nephew wedding is Saturday, as is my BIG anniversary. Rehearsal dinner is tomorrow night. Sunday is family celebration at the in-laws. I leave for Europe next Friday. There is sooooo much to do with everything above, I just wish I could stretch the days to last much longer, because my heart is here and I feel so torn about those other duties that I cannot ignore.

Lauren, do what you have to do...we understand, but miss your input and computer knowledge!!! We know you are always in all ways, hoping and praying for Maureen and Zeke to be once again reunited. Keep the thoughts and prayers coming, we will always need those. Try not to stress about this, you should be able to focus on all the happiness going on in your life and enjoy them. Wish your nephew a beautiful day, his wedding day!!! And you young lady deserve that much needed vacation, please don't worry, with luck Zeke will be home before you leave...another reason for you to celebrate!!!

Just thinking out loud here,but I wonder if you were to contact a PI,maybe one a little closer to Modesto,and explained the situation,if they would be willing to barter? Maybe they would be interested in having a Yorkie and someone here who has/expecting a litter could donate one? Or if theres something else they would need that someone here could offer?
Or maybe, if they were told that Zeke was therapy for Maureen, they would offer a discount? ( or just do it out of the goodness of their heart would be even better! )
