| Barking at TV & Computer? So, let me start out by saying, Mickey is not a "barker". Not to say that he never barks... but barking has not been a problem with him at all. Two nights ago, we were in bed watching TV (He watches TV with us) when a dog came on the TV.... he went NUTS! Barking (Loud... you would think I had a rottie, rather than a yorkie) and growling at the TV. I have never heard him like this. I actually had to take him out of the room, and when I put him down he ran right back into the room, and right over to the TV. So this morning my boyfriend and I were looking at pictures on the computer. We were actually looking at pictures of him... and you guessed it... he went INSANE once again, GROWLING and barking at pictures of himself on the computer. Is he nuts?!?! He loves other dogs! We live in the city, so Mickey meets new friends everyday, and he is very friendly with them. We go to dog parks often, and he just LOVES other dogs. For some reason... when they are on the computer or TV screen he just flips out. I guess he doesnt want them in the "box"..... Hmm... Does anyone elses yorkie do this? Mickey is about 5 1/2 months. Maybe his testosterone is starting to flow, and he's getting a little nuts?! I'm at a loss!

| My, kaycee is eight he barks at the tv also, birds, cats, any animal and also at himself on my cumputer,he also knows the music of commercials with animals on them and will come running from any where in the house, when he was a pup i put his food bowl under the tv stand. im not sure but i think he does this to protect his food, but i really think he is so smart because he actually watches tv programs with me. he has never stopped doing this. He never barks until he sees them on tv, or if he hears someone at the door. Last edited by DONNADEE; 06-20-2007 at 08:35 AM. |

| Awww, he's a smart one!!!! Maybe he barks because the doggies in the TV or computer are in HIS territory? My Luna barks if there is a doorbell rung on tv, and Izzy barks at everything outside if it's windy

BANNED! | Oh yes mine do it too....I had paused live tv and didn't realize I had paused it on a persons face and half body. When Mine saw the tv they went nuts thinking there was an intruder in my home, lol. It was hilarious to see them act like they were big bad guard dogs. |

| I was playing that YorkieTalk video yesterday of the yorkies "talking" to the Furby...well, Gizmo started right up with them! It was too funny. Do any of your Yorkies react to mirror images? Gizmo doesn't, and I just wondered why some images, but not that.

| Bella barks and growls at anything that 'shouldn't be there'. Shoes, bags that get moved. The curtain when the wind blows it. Her image. It's pretty cute.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Mind don't bark at the tv, I have caught London looking at it if she hears a dog barking. But have any of you seen that commercial for Oreos I think when the dog is on the bed and the tv comes on and he starts barking at it. The out of nowhere the other dog comes running down the stairs at full speed to join him in barking. LMAO it's so funny!
