Splitter Biewer/Parti 4 Attachment(s) Okay I have been talking to a few of you about Diggy beiong a possible splitter or carrier of piebald gene. I explained his white patches getting bigger and the placement of patches. Well they are STILL getting bigger. A lot of you had a hard time saying what you thought due to pics....So This is Mr.Diggy AT 15 weeks, 3.1 pounds. Make sure you click on the thumbnail to make larger I tried to keep the files bigger giving you a better view. Also my vet said really thinks he is carrier/splitter he has way to much white to be considered just a small white patch as you see in alot of Yorkies. He is AKC and both parents were on premesis. He and Bella have same parents. I post a pic of He and Bella so you can compare her color to him. I know its blurry he was busy stealing a kiss from her!!! Let me know what you think....I get tired of not know what to answer when people say Why is he so white??? |
Love the coloring, what a cutie. |
i have no intelligent answer for you but he sure is cute :) |
Well thank you very much. :D :D He is a unique one....unique and trying......lol He is in those terrible 2's!!! |
I don't know either, but he is sooo stinkin cute, I just want to squeeze him. |
diggy Thank you GF!!!! lol Notice ears down yesterday up today??? He's a goofball!!! |
my sasha had a large patch of white on her chest and under her chin so it could just be hes the same. hes a little cutie:) |
I don't really know about the partis and all that.. but I think he may be a carrier.. that is definately no color in a yorkie I have ever seen.. at first (before I clicked on the picture) I just thought he'll be a white/slive yorkie.. but after clicking on it.... hmmmm:confused: |
I forgot to mention.... he is so stinkin cute:) |
I am not sure if that means anything or not. With the exception of Louie who is black and gold, all of my blue/gold dogs are almost completely white chested. Would be good to know tho. |
Yes, I just ask out of curiosity, I think he is just a sexy beast either way lol All the lil girlies look at that white and say.....hmmmmm here did you get that at??? lol I am not breeding him either way at this point, and yes, after asking other owners of Diggys siblings....some had the small white patch that is common....This white covers his whole under belly, chin, eyes, chest and legs. Its a lot more than I have ever seen and researched on various yorkie websites. Like I said either way he's just my lil man....:p I was told the only way to know for sure is to breed him, and Im not educated enough to do that so just not comfy with that, plus I dont know if he is "breeder material" per standards. :aimeeyork |
Hmmm.... First of all, he is a cute fluffy baby...:love-hug1 :heart79: About your question, I don't know what to say...:idontknow Well, I'm having sort of the same doubt... I notice a few white hairs on Maggie's back and they are about 1 inche long, so I don't know if that means anything... |
I dont know but he sure is cute! |
4 Attachment(s) OMG! Hi Twinkie! You're not going to believe this, but Gizmo has a large white patch also! Was Diggy really dark at first? The breeder almost kept Gizmo actually because he father had similar coloring and turned a beautiful steel blue and gold. So who knows? The first pic is Gizzy at about 6 weeks. The second at 8 or 9 weeks. The third at 10 weeks (Yes, my son did this and spelled his name wrong...lol). The 4th is at 5 weeks. Gizzy is on the right (darker one) and his littermate is on the left. I will try to get one with his white patch more visible. |
1 Attachment(s) It is beginning to look like he is a carrier. Here is a picture of the carrier that is mother to my parti girls. Attachment 127110 |
