| I Need Sleep! Just recently, like within the last two weeks, Charlie has started whining in his crate at night... and it's not right away either. It's about a half hour in... just long enough for us to fall asleep and then he starts whining, then crying louder, then barking... We let him out at least once in the night to see if all the fuss is that he has to go to the bathroom, but it seems like he just wants to play. Then, when he gets back in the crate he whines some more. I tried putting him in bed with us thinking that's what he wanted but he just runs around and plays and chews things, like us, and that is no good for trying to sleep either. We've had him for 3 months now and we've never had an issue with this. We usually go to bed around 10:00 and i get up everyday at 5:20. HOW DO WE GET RID OF THIS PROBLEM?????????????????????????

| I don't know how to get rid of that problem, but my Bentley does the same thing. Just started it a couple of nights ago (we've had him 4 weeks). I just go in and talk to him a little bit, and give him a soft toy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Hope you get some sleep soon. |

| I have never had that problem, but that's because of one thing that I do before my dogs and I head to bed. We play! My advice for you is to wear him out before 10 PM. Play fetch, tug o' war, or just get him to run around the house. Just tire Charlie out so that hopefully he will be too tired to whine in the middle of the night and want to play. Hopefully that will help you. Just get as much energy out of Charlie as possible before bed time. Hope I helped! Let us know how things turn out! |
