| Necessities For My New Baby??? Hi everyone!! As some of you know, I am getting a new baby!! I planned on bringing him home on Friday but now I'm thinking I might go get him tomorrow...I am dying to have him!! So, since I am paying for him and taking him and my other two doggy babies to the Vet this Saturday, the paycheck is going to be slim, so I am wondering what are the most important necessities to have on hand for my new 12 week old furbaby? Martha, the breeder, is sending me home with a puppy kit, which will have his food in it, but I also need to know what MAJOR things I should have on hand. Any help from those of you experienced here with Yorkies would be appreciated. I have a Chi and a Boxer but I've never owned a Yorkie, so I need to know if my baby boy requires anything special. Thanks so much!! Oh, and I haven't decided on which name yet!!

| In the general yorkie section there is a sticky called "Frequently Asked Questions". I think # 13 has info for things you need when you bring your new puppy home. Congrats! |

| do you have a playpen or a small expen to help with training? i would say that this and a small crate would be the most important... here are a few pics of the area that i made when i brought tino home... you will be giving your baby the most important thing...LOVE and a FOREVER HOME!

| Congrats on your new baby! You must be so excited! I remember how I felt the night before I got Rocky! I had butterflies in my tummy all night! I think a few "must haves" are piddle pads, a soft blanket ( I got a little chenille blankie) and a couple of toys. I bet you will spend lots of time playing with him and holding him, but these are a couple of things that Rocky really enjoyed his first few day....except for the piddle pad! Good Luck and post pics soon! |

| Hey I have a chi and a boxer too! and I just brought home my first yorkie 2 months ago. Dont worry, your boxer will love him! My boxer thinks she is chloes mother. I founf out the hard way to always have karo syrup( to remedy hypoglycemia) and a heating pad in their bed(keep it on low and try to buy one that doesnt have the automatic shutoff). You might want some puppy pads for potty training LOL!
