I think yorkie's that have floppy ears are ADORABLE! My Tobi's ears don't look like they're going to stand on their own..and I'm 100% fine with that!

If I may digress a bit, I was walking through Petsmart minding my own business and a customer who had a yorkie said, "oh, about his floppy ear...you need to shave off the top and tape them with electric tape...blah blah blah" She didn't even say, "ohhh, a yorkie or he's cute or anything" Grr. Anyway, to all w/ floppy ears...you don't HAVE to tape them because they're darn cute with floppers End of stupid story...here's a couple pics...

Electrical tape? That would hurt being removed. If you want them to stand up, cardboard (strip) over the ears and tape around them. Sophie was 16 weeks when I got her from the breeder, and her ears always stood up. However, I had beautiful purebred minature schnauzer who had floop y ears. She was so cute and I didn't want them cut.

Your pup is darling either way.

Here is a picture of Hunter. He just turned 10 weeks old. If his ears stay floppy or stand up doesn't matter to me. He will be adorable either way.

I know I am a little late with this but wanted to add a picture of Cody. We think he is almost 2 and has completely floppy ears - we got him as a rescue and at first I really thought he might be a mix because I had always thought of Yorkies as tiny little things with perky stand up ears. And here he was - almost 12 pounds and these little floppy ears - that he only perks up when he wants to, but our vet says he is all Yorkie - we do love his ears and he puts them up sometimes. As if to say: What the heck??

Oh yeah he's all Yorkie. He looks like Loki if I let his hair grow out. He's cute!!!
