![]() Thank you so so so much for all your replies! You all are the best, seriously. I feel a lot better! I know I can definitely give this yorkie a great home and so much love. He'll be so well taken care of, haha, I'm laughing just thinking how much of a mommy I'm going to be to the little guy. Thanks for the reassurances and just helping me to sort my thoughts out. I definitely think he is the puppy for me =) I'll take care of him whatever will come my way. I'll be sure to post pictures when I get him! Thanks again everyone! ![]()

![]() My daughter has a year old 3 pound yorkie and I babysit her when my daughter goes to work. We know all the risks and so far so good. She goes lots of places with us and I like it because she doesn't take up much room. good luck

| ![]() also, which I'm not sure if it was allready mentioned, but the smaller the dog, the smaller the dog's bladder. Meaning more going outside trips or potty pad trips. Just keep that in mind. Good luck to ya and at it looks like you got some good advice.

![]() I got Jake at 10 weeks, and he was only 1 lb., 10 oz. when I picked him up. I knew he would most likely be on the smaller side, but what I was looking at more than anything is his health. His breeder will only breed very healthy dogs, that is her main concern. Jake is 11 mos. old now, and he weighs right around 4 lbs. He has never had any health issues, he's smart, energetic, playful, and has a great personality. I consider myself very lucky to have him. One thing I will mention is that you have to be extra careful with the smaller yorkies because most yorkies tend to want to follow you around, and it's easy to step on them if you're not careful. They get in between your feet sometimes, so we have to watch where we're walking and what we're doing at home. You have to make sure to train them to sit and wait for you, but they catch on so fast. All the smaller ones are different, of course, but if you feel you can trust your breeder and if her dogs are all healthy and you feel this is right, then do what your instincts tell you. Jake has been a total joy for me, and I wish you all the best!

![]() It would be wonderful if all these guys could come with a good health for life guarantee, BUT...............Anyway as long as you get some sort of health guarantee and then take the puppy straight to your Vet. soon as you get him, for a good check-up, and take in a stool sample to be tested for parasites and worms. Make sure you read up on how to feed, care and train your boy. Don't let his size make you carry him around in a blanket, let him be a dog. ![]()
