what is most expensive thing you dog ever chewed up mine 2 pairs of birkenstock sandals around 60 dollars |
I thought he was chewing his toy, and he was in fact chewing a lamp cord down to the bare wire!!! I've since "Maxwell proofed" the house, but who knew. I had only had him 2 days at that point. |
Eddie and Jack, nothing worth mentioning (other than holes in all my pockets searching for treats). But I had a Lab: $230 down sleeping bag. Totaled $300 ski boots: Ruined $100 CB radio: Gonzo He was also very good at food: He ate a pound of cheese one time and a dozen donuts another. |
Our recliner and the pedestal on our dining room table. |
UH...what has she not chewed on... Emmy's favorite items are my yellowbox brand flipflops (only $25 a pair--but I have lots of them). But she chewed on the legs of our bedroom furniture, the sofa, the comforter, and so on. After she turned a year, she became less likely to chew (but not always). The new little bugger, Oscar, is going to be a chewer, too. He seems really partial to the carpet!  |
The corners off the Howard Miller Grandfather Clock.:p That's the perfect height for puppy teething. Now when there are puppies in the house we wrap the bottom of the clock in a blanket. |

Oops, forgot to add, the first week we had Mugzy...Three cell phone chargers (at $30 each); an iPod link (also about $30); and an XBox 360 handset (about $50) |
Hmmmmm - the molding around the front door, a phone charger, a medical dictionary, a book of poetry (that stunk, because my poetry was in it!), the corner of a sofa, 2 pairs of shoes that were still in the BOX and I never got to wear. I think that's all for now:p |
oh yes, the cell phone chargers. |
Bella didnt chew too much...Just her toys....SHe chewed my hubby's cell phone but didnt ruin it, just left her mark! Diggy nothing yet. |
My Emmy Should Be Named Chewey.., It would be easier to list what she has not eaten than to remember all the things she has chewed. She ate a hole in the plaster wall going up the steps, she ate a hole in the wall by her crate large enough to crawl into (the entire wall had to be replaced), she chewed on my dining room table legs, the king size bed legs, the molding in the sunroom, the molding in two other areas, the china cabinet corners, the heels of ALL of my tennis shoes, the battery charger to my laptop (to replace will be $79 so I am currently using it plugged in to the wall). She ate 7 plugs off various lamps, vacuum cleaners, cell phone chargers, my lighted curio cabinets...any plugs she could find to get her mouth on. She was so proud of "capturing a new plug" that she would bring it to me in her little precious yorkie mouth. How can I get mad at her? She was just excited to have found a new plug. Thank goodness my husband could replace the plugs and replace the walls. I think Emmy is trying to get us a new house...one wall at a time. |
Well, with 4 furbabies around here, nothing really bad except an expensive pair of Ugg slippers that I had to reorder 2X and each time they got eaten again, and a camera battery that luckily came out of one of my chi's. Now, forget about what my babies might have ever eaten....it was my daughter's 3lb dwarf bunny who destroyed an entire bedroom....fairly new rug, a few telephone wires, a new computer monitor wire that was live when she was eating it, computer cables, camera charger, video camera cables, 2 cell phone chargers, DVD cables, an Ann Klein watch strap, legs from 2 posterbeds, and most of the bedroom furniture. She left her mark for sure years after she has been gone (5 yrs ago), as my daughter was cleaning her room out recently and found a few old turdballs in her closet! :D |
