what is most expensive thing you dog ever chewed up mine 2 pairs of birkenstock sandals around 60 dollars |
I thought he was chewing his toy, and he was in fact chewing a lamp cord down to the bare wire!!! I've since "Maxwell proofed" the house, but who knew. I had only had him 2 days at that point. |
Eddie and Jack, nothing worth mentioning (other than holes in all my pockets searching for treats). But I had a Lab: $230 down sleeping bag. Totaled $300 ski boots: Ruined $100 CB radio: Gonzo He was also very good at food: He ate a pound of cheese one time and a dozen donuts another. |
Our recliner and the pedestal on our dining room table. |
UH...what has she not chewed on... Emmy's favorite items are my yellowbox brand flipflops (only $25 a pair--but I have lots of them). But she chewed on the legs of our bedroom furniture, the sofa, the comforter, and so on. After she turned a year, she became less likely to chew (but not always). The new little bugger, Oscar, is going to be a chewer, too. He seems really partial to the carpet!  |
The corners off the Howard Miller Grandfather Clock.:p That's the perfect height for puppy teething. Now when there are puppies in the house we wrap the bottom of the clock in a blanket. |

Oops, forgot to add, the first week we had Mugzy...Three cell phone chargers (at $30 each); an iPod link (also about $30); and an XBox 360 handset (about $50) |
Hmmmmm - the molding around the front door, a phone charger, a medical dictionary, a book of poetry (that stunk, because my poetry was in it!), the corner of a sofa, 2 pairs of shoes that were still in the BOX and I never got to wear. I think that's all for now:p |
oh yes, the cell phone chargers. |
Bella didnt chew too much...Just her toys....SHe chewed my hubby's cell phone but didnt ruin it, just left her mark! Diggy nothing yet. |
My Emmy Should Be Named Chewey.., It would be easier to list what she has not eaten than to remember all the things she has chewed. She ate a hole in the plaster wall going up the steps, she ate a hole in the wall by her crate large enough to crawl into (the entire wall had to be replaced), she chewed on my dining room table legs, the king size bed legs, the molding in the sunroom, the molding in two other areas, the china cabinet corners, the heels of ALL of my tennis shoes, the battery charger to my laptop (to replace will be $79 so I am currently using it plugged in to the wall). She ate 7 plugs off various lamps, vacuum cleaners, cell phone chargers, my lighted curio cabinets...any plugs she could find to get her mouth on. She was so proud of "capturing a new plug" that she would bring it to me in her little precious yorkie mouth. How can I get mad at her? She was just excited to have found a new plug. Thank goodness my husband could replace the plugs and replace the walls. I think Emmy is trying to get us a new house...one wall at a time. |
Well, with 4 furbabies around here, nothing really bad except an expensive pair of Ugg slippers that I had to reorder 2X and each time they got eaten again, and a camera battery that luckily came out of one of my chi's. Now, forget about what my babies might have ever eaten....it was my daughter's 3lb dwarf bunny who destroyed an entire bedroom....fairly new rug, a few telephone wires, a new computer monitor wire that was live when she was eating it, computer cables, camera charger, video camera cables, 2 cell phone chargers, DVD cables, an Ann Klein watch strap, legs from 2 posterbeds, and most of the bedroom furniture. She left her mark for sure years after she has been gone (5 yrs ago), as my daughter was cleaning her room out recently and found a few old turdballs in her closet! :D |
the bottom corner of my new leather chair |
A pair of Sketchers. |
A game cube cord |
Dior... Memory Stick for my Camera, Cell Phone charger and Macbook charger. Diesel.. Under the armchair, Base boards in the bathroom. |
Oh I forgot mine also chewed up the lineoleum in the bathroom and a hole in my bedroom carpet |
Aren't they little stinkers?.... |
Conner chewed the bottom of my swivel rocker. I have to keep sewing the skirt back on. One of these days, there will be nothing to sew. He tries to chew his new $60 bed I just bought him (because he loves zippers) and the zipper on his new toy box ($50), but usually I catch him and say, "No Biting"! |
Expensive chew toys! Well so far my 10 month old baby girl "Tiffany Aloha", has chewed a Louis Vuitton Collar that I bought for her Mom "Abigail". which was $240.00, 2 pairs of high heeled Sandals @ about $50.00 a set. She manages to chew a Toy up in the first 5 minutes, I have learned to buy her .88 cent Clearance Specials @ "Walmart" instead of wasting my money on expensive cute "Petsmart" Toys and actually what she loves the most are my Socks, she even steals dirty ones out of the Laundry basket! Believe me......Abigail still wears that Collar, I'm not about to throw it away. Luckily she has grown out of that Teething stage. |
My beagle is the worst when chewing things. He chewed photographs.. a whole box. Boxes with tools in them and the cord to my frandfathers machine saw thing.. that was fixed and it wasnt plugged in so he didnt get shocked. my moms fiances rabbit before we gave him to a friend chewed up EVERYTHING every cord it could get to. Im suprised it didn't die from all those shocks. |
Louie is always climbing in the laundry basket...so i would think the most expensive, had to be my victoria secret bra errrrr i loved that one too lol |
Also, I remembered, I have frameless eyeglasses, so the clip-on sunglasses are custom, and cost $80. I have the cutest little yorkie mouth print indented in one lens. It puts sparkles in things that aren't there. |
My yorkie doesn't chew, but my shih poo hold comforters between his paws and sucks/chews on them. He's 2 yrs old and still does this. Was he taken from his momma too early. The people I got him from were selling him for their daughter in another state. He was 12 weeks, so I don't know how old he was when they got him. But anyway, I digress, Down comforter after down comforter, you'd think I'd get smart and get a duvet that he could ruin. |
Cell phone chargers seem to be a popular item with yorkies!!! DITTO! And my husbands glasses, numerous socks, slippers, but luckily as a one year old, Indy seems to only have a preference for kleenex tissues that she can shread. |
Oh and also Quote:
Oh, and the list goes on...we just bought her a new, high priced, soft sided carrier. Rode in it 120 miles one way and ripped out the zipper and suddenly appeared in my lap. I took it back and complained about how easy it must have been to tear up and that it must have been poorly made. The store refunded money, but I knew they thought I must have had a tiger! The crate was good for up to a 30 pound dog!!! |
Gus really hasn't been all that bad. Rolls of toilet paper is all he chewed up. It isn't all that bad if it weren't the last roll. It was like he knew it was the last roll. I wasn't till Bobbie came that brought the devil out of him or maybe he need a partner to take some blame for all the bad that the both ended up doing. One day we came home and noticed that there was foam all over the floor. I had no idea where it came from because everything seemed to be in tacked in that room at is,,,, I walked in the front room only to find that my $2,000 sofa had been all chewed up. I think they spared one cushion. Gus knew the moment we walked through the door that he was in trouble but bobbie still a puppy look like she had done something to be proud of. My husband barely let her venture into the room since it happened 5 months ago. |
Okay I am bringing back BAD...BAD memories with this post but when I first got Murphy he chewed the heel off one of my most favortie shoes which were wait for it......JIMMY CHOOS.....(oh my I am crying all over again - hee, hee), valued at $300.00. I got them on sale or never would have been to afford them in the first placee and on a special trip to NY. I could barely afford them than but any way......YES my dear baby boy Murphy ATE them - WAHHHHHHHH :cry2: :cry2: :cry2: :cry2: :cry2: The only thing I could do was move on....my hubby was so proud of me - he thought I would CRY all night but it only took me about 1/2 an hour to get over it and I could not stay mad at Murphy any way - he was way too cute!! |
