Hair Growth Question. Hi there. I have a question for the experienced. I brought Jersey home at ten weeks of age. When I got her she didn't have much hair. She's now a bit over 13 weeks and it's starting to come in. I notice most of the pups her age are real hairy. Just wondering if this is normal for some pups and if the hair does actually come in nice later on. Thanks in advance for your input. Elaine

Could you post some pictures of her so we can see what her hair looks like, and then maybe we can figure it out.

I'm having trouble resizing the pictures. I keep getting a message that I'm exceeding the limits. I'll keep trying to resize and post. Thanks. Elaine

K. Got it resized. Jersey is about 11 weeks in these photos. She's gotten slightly a little more hair now, but not a whole lot. Just peach fuzz I guess you could call it. I can see her hair is trying to come in, but others this age have a whole lot of hair and just wondering if there could be a problem or if this is normal for some pups and if so does the hair eventually come in real nice? Thanks. Elaine

My Ziggy was even less fuzzy than this. She has never needed much grooming and is 8 years old and really this is first spring that she needed a trim.I should also add that she turned golden but had same coloring as yorkie pups do. Last edited by Anna Lou; 06-10-2007 at 03:50 AM.
