Okay, ears were up , now thier down...... Hey everybody, I posted pics yesterday of Princess's ears ,they were up and she looked so cute, now since last night she has had them down and she won't put them up. I taped 3 days and then rested and then 3 days and rested yesterday, should I retape them? Should I do this until they stand and don't go down? I know she is only 8 weeks old and I know she is teething. I have given her a puppy vitaming and missing link everyday. Please let me know what I should do? Thanks , Mary Lowe

I'm no expert but i never taped bailey's ears and they went up and down until she was 5 months old. Then one day one went up and just never went back down and a few days later the other one followed and they've both been up ever since. Personally i don't think its a big deal that they went back down

I went through the same situation. I got Angel at almost 10 wks old and his ears were very perky and standing straight up . Then around 13 weeks or so ,they went down. I shaved them with the grooming clippers I have and taped them up. I use the Blue masking tape that is not very sticky so it does not hurt them at all.I only used the tape for like 2 days and took it off. I did not know that it was recomended to tape them for like a week. So his ears stayed up for about 2 weeks and then one ear flopped down. Angel is now 4.5 months. I taped them up for 1 week and his ears have been perky straight for about a week or so. If they stay up ,great he looks so cute with perky ears but if they do go back down, I'll love him still! Cookie's ears were always up and never went down .So this was something new to me. Genie Cookie Lola Angel

Not to hi jack the thread, hehe but my girl is 4 months, and her ears are halfway up w/the tips folded over. I've only taped 5-6 hours at a time... should I wait a little longer for her to stop teething or keep trying?

| For now, just let her be a puppy, shave the ears so they're not weighed down, and start taping again if they don't go up when she's done teething. Good luck!
