I think the nutrical is a good idea, or karo syrup will do the trick.
Also, right after a seizure, when they can safely swallow, (tho hopefully this was a fluke and you'll never have to deal with this again!) it is good to give them a small amount of all natural vanilla ice cream! Like Bryers. This boosts their sugar but the fat in the ice cream makes it so the sugar releases slowly-no sugar high and then a low.
Again, there are some great suggestions already for food....I might try liverwurst too. I never even knew what it was till a couple weeks ago But I swear to you its been a life saver in my house!!! I have some finicky eaters here, and so far, this has worked every single time! I'm out of it right now and Vixxen won't eat...she's in one of her moods so I'm off to the store to get some!! It's magic!
Anyway, wishing your Buddy a speedy recovery and NO MORE SEIZURES!! They are the worst...for his family moreso than him I think. Remember, a seizure doesn't hurt when they have one - but you should be sure they can't konk their head on something hard, or tile floor or what have you.....

Thanks so much for your advice! I can see he is coming around more and more. I have been so scared that he will have another one. The doctor said she put him in a dark room to snap him out of it. I know he sensed how scared my son was while going to the vet. My husband, son and myself are all scared it will happen again. Everyone on here is like angels to me. I cannot believe how many people have taken the time to help me. It means the world. Thank you for helping!

Now that I have had a little time to clear my head after being so scared I can see where a seizure would make them weak. The vet said the same thing as you that after one of these it makes all the muscles tender. I am just so happy he is coming around again. I hope this is the first and last seizure but if not I think I might be better at coping since I am getting uplifting advice. Not to say I will be calm LOL but I think I can cope better. Thanks for helping me.

It's hard, but try not to freak. They DO sense and feed off our fears and that's not good for either one of you!

I just saw this thread..I am so sorry that your baby had a seizure...I know how scary that is! Just monitor him, and you might want to ask for a bile acid test. Keep us updated on your baby's condition!! Hope he feels better

I'm so glad you're coping better. I hope your baby's condition continues to improve.
