| new puppy update--help i am in a conundrum well, i don't know what to do. i have only known of one breeder in my area (remember yorkies have been in my family for only 2 years--i have one and my daughter has two). i got ready to purchase a new puppy and have had 5 breeder contacts within 1 hour of my home. all puppies are ready to go, except one (will be ready end of july). i really want a puppy now, because i am a teacher and would like to help new pup and emmy socialize. i have several references on each breeder, but i am having a difficult time deciding what to do. i am meeting one breeder tomorrow afternoon to see 2 little boys and then seeing another one on friday morning. how do i really know which will be best for us? some are akc registered and others ckc. does it make a difference? i am not breeding or showing, so i don't think it will make a difference, UGH? i don't know what i am asking of you members...i just have never had this many yorkie choices. (little scampers--wherever you are--and emmy chasing each other)

| I would check the pedigrees and see which one is the best. Look at the parents to get an idea of what the pup may look like. If it were me I would go with AKC even if you arent showing or breeding. Go see the pups and let it pick you. |

| I agree. See all the pups and go with AKC. Also, take your time deciding. I know you want one now, but it's better not to rush into anything. I'm sure once you see them, there will be that one special one that you know you want. good luck! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I agree I would prefer AKC even though Cali isn't. I find when I am looking that when Ifind The One I know it. Good luck it is so exciting.
