| Boarding Autumn! I am just trying to get all of my ducks in a row. We will be going away during the summer and my girlfriend offered to watch Autumn. (Dakota my pug always goes to my in laws but hubby will not let Autumn because they have a big dog that has no manners and although he never bothers Dakota he really hates tiny dogs) So my best friend offered to watch her witch I thought was so kind and wonderful. I was thrilled to think that she would not be stuck in a cage and she would have another little dog to play with and be pet and loved. Well she has a 4 yr old and a 14 month old and when we were over there last week I watched as the 4yr old (my godson) tried to pick her dog up by her head and the 14 month old kept pulling her dogs ears and trying to bite her. I guess I never noticed it before but because Autumn would be going there the red flag was up and alert. There is no way I could send Autumn there and not be crazy worried the entire week on what those kids were doing to her. I just cant stop thinking that they would pick her up and drop her on her little head. What do I need to look for when calling around looking for a boarding facility? My vet boards and I love them but she would be left in a cage and no one spends the night w/the boarded animals . So thats out for me. Some ideas would be great! Thanks, Amie |

| Where are you in long island? Too bad I'm not going down this summer (well not that I know of yet) or I would watch her. Are you near Locust Valley or Oyster Bay? I think I saw a few places around there when I went last summer. |
