Who stole my earrings?? After I came back from my trip to London, my family and I went to Florida for another vacation. The morning before we went jet-skiing, I took off my earrings (4 pair of studs) and placed it on the window sill of the resort bedroom. When we came back (after about 5-6 hours) everyone was so exhausted we went to bed. The next morning, I searched and searched everywhere for my earrings. I lifted the mattress, the couch, the coffee table, everything I could lift just to find those earrings. My husband got frustrated with me because I 'made' him find it for me. After an hour of looking he screamed at me because I always misplace things. My only question was how can 4 pairs of earrings get up and walk away? His only question was who could take it? When Buttercup pooped that afternoon, I picked it up and looked at it. My husband said 'So who stole your earrings?' and my son replies 'Buttercup did.' My earring was in his poop! All 4 pairs! I freaked out of course, not because of my earrings but because he ATE them, SWALLOWED them, and POOPED it out! I immediately took him to the animal hospital near by and they examined him and said everything would be fine but to check up with our vet in a couple of days. Now, I'm letting everyone know my stupid mistake so no one else would make that same stupid mistake! I know I did wrong so don't judge me! Last edited by xBUTTERCUPx; 05-31-2007 at 02:14 PM.

| lol.... I thought this was going to end with the maid taking them. My question is how did he get them off the window sil? (sp.) but anyways... That's funny. It's just another example of what strange things our babies can eat....

We thought the people doing room service took it too but then again I didn't want to blame anyone so I didn't say anything to the manager. I wondered how he got to it too but then again the window was at his level if he was to stand on his hind legs.

I was worried at first but now that I think about it, it's hilarious. When I was examining his poop, my husband asked me what I was doing and I just looked at him like he was crazy. He laughed and asked if I was going to clean my earrings out of the poop. I just told him that there was no way I was going to put that back on my body. Nope nope nope!

You're right! I won't be wearing them. My husband bought me new ones to replace the ones Buttercup ate. He even made a joke about piercing Buttercup's ears

This has made me even more conscious of a bad habit I have. My mom gave me the diamond studs my dad gave her years ago. I'm the worst at taking them off while watching tv and placing them on the end table, a table Ms Stella loves to check out when she gets an opportunity.
