| A/C..and our yorkies..PLEASE HELP!! Okay..do yorkies get cold from being in an air conditoned house?...I have Maximus sleeping in jammies and he has a blanket which he refuses to sleep under..do yorkie seek out warmth when they are cold..or do they more or less just deal with it? I want to make sure he is comfortable and not to cold and not to hot..since he sleep in his fleece bed at night on the floor.. I am afraid that since the central air ducts are placed in 2 places by floor in the bedroom and throughout the house he may be colder down there..(his bed is not near the ducts)..I am afraid he would squish him in the bed (and he has slipped down the side once already..thank god his claws saved him and I was able to snatch him before he fell)...so do you think I should keep throwing the blanket on him every 2 hours..lol..like I have been?? (I don't control the a/c in my apartment..the landlord does and sometimes it gets VERY cold..(to me)..my bf likes it..but does a dog feel cold like us?? |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I really believe they feel the cold - My youngest Cheri gets chilly at night and wears jammies - I tried the blanket thing - they move too much sometimes to keep it on - When it's really cold in Texas - Chanel will sleep right up against me and she usually likes to be just near me...So yes...jammies are good ...I would make sure they're really great fitting so your baby doesn't twist out of them |

| I agree with Villette! They do get cold ... since they are single-coat and don't have an undercoat to keep them warm. Toto snuggles against us when she is cold and if she gets too warm, she will move away and "sprawl" all over the place!! I make sure that she has a bed in different rooms in case she wants to lie on the floor and she has a little sleeping bag on the sofa. If you leave little things around for them ... and they get chilly, they will find something to snuggle up in!

| The do feel hot and cold. In the winter, my dogs will snug in bed with me to keep warm or I will put a sweater on them when I think the house is too cold. However, in the summer they sleep in their crates or in the bathroom. Anywhere it is cooler. |

| They got cold and hot. I think you can have them in a room with AC but make sure your pup is not cold, you can put PJs and/ or blanket. I had the AC on today because it was so hot, so I have Gucci cover with a blanket. She was so comfy. |

| My dogs snuggle on to an electric blanket afghan I have when I have the air conditioner on. They seem to prefer being warm over being cold.
