| best time to bring another puppy to my home Brody is about 1 1/2 yrs old and I have been thinking about getting him a brother. Is boy/boy together better than boy/girl? Any help would be appreciated. Also, how do you convince your spouse.....

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I got Pixie when Cali was 1 1/2 in January. Pixie was already 13 months old so I missed some of the baby issues. Cali is a very laid back female and Pixie is a full of zip female. It took a little while but they sleep together and fight and play together. I love having the 2 yorkies together. I would get one now!!! My husband actually gave we the money to get Pixie for Christmas and I found her in the end of January. Good luck you will love hab=ving 2 as will your babies.

| If they are neutered and/ or spayed, I don't think there is any difference in how they will get along together.

| I'm not sure if there's a difference in how the dogs get along if they're male/male or male/female, but maybe you can decide which sex to get and convince your spouse at the same time. For instance, is Brody more bonded to your or your spouse? If he's more bonded to you, maybe you can present it to your spouse that you want to get another puppy - one that you hope will be bonded more to them. Then, you can choose boy or girl based on that. I've always heard that boys tend to bond more to their mommies, while girls tend to be more daddy's girls. That obviously isn't always true though, because Sukoshi is definitely more bonded to me than my husband, but I think it works in the majority of cases. |
