| Another tick desease/Buddy was positive Buddy went in for his yearly exam last Thurs. I can't believe he also gained 2lbs Now he's up to 15.5. The vet said he's just big boned. Anyhow with two people trying to hold him down to take blood he was screaming like he was being tortured. He never has done this before. They also had to muzzle him because he almost took two fingers off the vet "My good boy" The vet told me that there is a new tick desease going around this year and 65% of his patients are showing up positive with it. Of course I wanted Buddy tested and his results came back positive as well. He is on an antibiotic for 21days. We have loads of ticks here because of the deer and wildlife who live in our woods. I am not surprised. I love Buddy's vets they are young and up to date with all that is going on so I do trust them. However I wanted to ask more questions but had a splitting headache and just wanted to get out of there. Anyone else hear of this tick problem? Sympthoms are very much like Lyme desease and Buddy had no sympthoms to my knowledge. Well $274.40 later we left two pounds heavier and 21days of antibiotics. Other than that all went well. |

He really does not appear sick at all. I forget to ask if this can return I'll have to make a phone call next week. I would have never know he had anything if I didn't take him for his yearly. Strange. | |
