| I hate this!! It's my first day at work since I became a new furbaby mom and I'm having such a hard time concentrating! Not only do I want to be home playing with Tucker (who doesn't want to play with their baby, no matter the age?!), I can't stop thinking about him... is he okay in his playpen? (Don't want to leave him crated during the long work day because he's only 8 weeks and I know he won't be able to "hold it" that long) And I find myself creating a list of "should have's". I "should have" left the TV on for him, I "should have" left a larger bowl of water, blah blah blah. Am I normal or going insane?! |

| Too bad we can't get the Tucker's together to keep each other company! I'm sure he's fine, but you are the one going crazy! When we had Bandit he was in his crate about 7 hours a day and he was fine. I want to get Tucker a playpen, what a great idea. I took today off, but I have to go in tomorrow. I'm thinking I might want to sneak home at lunch time. (Of course it's 45 minutes away! and I won't want to go back). Since he's so young I'm thinking that they will just adjust to this schedule since they don't know any better. And, they say dogs have no sense of time so he doesn't realize how long you are gone. But oh, it's hard not being home with them! When was your Tucker born? Ours was April 8th.

| Is Tucker a climber? Lily could climb out of anything at 10 weeks. I think you are perfectly normal for wanting to be home with him. I would wonder about him climbing out though and not having any food or water. (Sorry, don't want to alarm you).

| I can never read these messages without a smile..That is exactly how a good breeder wants you to feel about your baby. I do suggest an X pen as usual..They have more safe space and it is not their beddy bye crate that they HAVE to spend long hours in. I think a play space and a sleep space should be different so I put the crate inside the X pen with pads, food and water. Toys that challenge them to get the goodie-kong with peanut butter in small end or any toy that makes a noise,or where you can hide a goodie.. Your baby will be fine as long as you insure his safety while you are away |

Oh you are so normal! I still feel this way about going to work and I've had my babies for a year (that isn't comforting is it?)! Of course I know that they are safe in their "condo" and sleeping away but I still think about them all the time! Can you go home at lunch time to let him out and play for awhile? I bet he is sound asleep! And you can leave the tv or radio on tomorrow, he will be ok today | |

| Teri, please tell me you live in Orlando because our Tucker's need to be friends! My Tuck was born April 9th! I saw you the baby pictures you posted and your Tucker is just ADORABLE! I left Tucker a bed, a wee pad, a couple of his favorite toys (picking up a kong today--I've always used them with my dogs but haven't had a chance to get one for him yet), a bowl of water, and wishing I'd left him dry food (although he finished his breakfast!). Teri, I also was considering sneaking home at lunch and I ALSO work about 30-45 minutes away! Unfortunately, my program at work is under a crunch this week so I REALLY need to stay here and work... UGH, the afternoon can't come fast enough! Thanks, everyone, for making me feel normal! |

| He is sooo adorable, I would hate to leave him too! He looks just like my Simon did when he was a baby! When I first moved here to NY I made friends with my neighbors who have a dog and we would take turns checking in on them at lunchtime. Is this a possibility for you? It may help ease your mind! Just an idea.......and I agree today is much too long!! |
