I told him I wanted to post it by December 1 at the latest, so those of you who have to put in for time off from work at the beginning of the year will have at least 1 month to figure out your plans and get in your leave requests for work. He actually sent me the official contract this past Friday, and I signed it on Wednesday, after getting my last few questions answered about the number of rooms we'd be committing to and a couple other details. I'm just waiting on him now to let me know what our group reservation number is and a few final details, and he's in Chicago this week on business, so there's been a bit of a delay. Once we get these last few things ironed out, I'll start a new thread and post a link to it here.[/COLOR]Take note though, the official date of the 1st (Annual ...err...we'll see about the annual thing ) International YorkieTalk Meet-up (how does THAT sound for official ) will be June 21, 2008. Although the meet-up will take place on that date, we will also offer a gathering at a local park on Friday afternoon/evening as people trickle into town (complimentary transportation to the location provided by the hotel), as well as a possible (TBD) gathering Sunday morning before people head out to explore Kansas City or to head home. Just so you know, you'll have to provide a credit card when you make your reservations, and I think they will go ahead and charge the first night's stay to the card up-front, with a full refund issued as long as you cancel 24-hours before your planned arrival at the hotel...so you may want to make sure you have a little money available on your credit card so you can call to make your reservation as soon as I give you the details!!! Also, we will be requiring a non-refundable registration fee, which will pay for at least 1 breakfast (maybe 2...still working on that ) and dinner at the hotel, along with a goodie bag of various samples and such for you to take home for your babies. We have to charge the registration fee so that we can have the money up-front to pay for the food and beverage charge from the hotel, so you may want to put a little back for that too. Again, I will post ALL the details for you guys as soon my contact gets back next week and provides me with the last of the info I'm waiting on. I want to be able to post everything you need to know in one thread, so I really need the details from the hotel for what the group reservation number and such will be. Also, as I've run everything past Admin to make sure we're not breaking any YT rules by requiring non-refundable donations, putting together a meet-up like this, etc., they have requested I make a few things clear, and I want to make sure I do that on their behalf. For one, I want to state up-front that in the event the meet-up does NOT take place, we WILL return everyone's registration fee money in FULL. So...although we are requiring a non-refundable registration fee, refunds WILL be given if the event does not take place or is cancelled. (BUT...given that this meet-up IS taking place, we don't even need to worry about that ). Also, I want to make it VERY clear that this meet-up is the responsibility of the meet-up committee. We are handling all aspects and are fully responsible for it, NOT YORKIETALK. Therefore, please do not send your questions regarding the meet-up to Admin or any YT Moderators, as they are not on the meet-up committee and do not have any answers for you! I hope we have a GREAT turnout!!! Sukoshi and I can't wait to meet everyone!!! I'll post final details soon. Promise! __________________ Lisa Sukoshi 's Diggy Sukoshi's 1st Birthday Party

Yes it is! That is why I answered you with her quote and the pertinent info in red just in case others had missed it too. Thanks for bringing it to the top again. As it says, Lisa will be starting a NEW THREAD with all the important information soon. I hope everyone sees it and that lots and lots of YTers and their babies can join us in KC.
