exactly.. i know a lot of people who look at the brochures and the locations and just go to all the hot spots and are happier because they did. One thing i learned about traveling is yeah its good to book a tour, but if u cant book one do it on ur own. (Me off topic too:cool: )

We didn't have a car, and the hotel told us the taxi fare to get there and back would've been UNGODLY expensive, so it was kinda out of the question for us after that. We just took a taxi to Old Town and spent our time there instead. We were leaving on a cruise the next day, so we had very limited time.

I was just checking up on the meetup and noticed that you are considering staying on the Plaza. that was where Richard asked me to marry him:D There is a really, really nice park just a few blocks south of the Plaze...Loose Park...if I remember correctly. That area is VERY upscale and has some of the most beautiful homes I have every seen. Good choice ladies for lots of stuff to be withing walking distance:thumbup: Patty

Yep. And it's a similar situation as with KC since ESL is just across the Mississippi in Illinois. Not that St. Louis doesn't have neighborhoods as bad or worse ... And I can say that, too, since I live and work here!:D And even give the city 1 percent of my income to do it.:eek:

i swear i am working on calling the holiday inn in MO but i've been getting home from work around 7 and when i go to cal the banquet person isn't there... and i'm going out of town on sunday until thrusday, i'll work on it in there i hope :) so sorry this is taking so long,,,, however i guess we do have a whole year :p

Looks like the meetup committee is starting to get the plans narrowed down! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

I am really hoping that we can go, too! Sounds like fun AND the website shows a BUNCH of neat places...just hope that most are dog-friendly, as I could never leave Shelby or Seymour alone in a hotel room or in a doggy daycare that I am not familar with.

Deiter and I would love to come. That isn't to far from us. Have you tried looking under tripswithpets.com On there you put in the town and state and it will give pet freindly lodging, activities. I love that web. Try that out, if it will help.

I'm hoping to be able to go. I know a couple other YT members from College Station that are planning to go as well. It's just too far away for me to know right now. But I'm keeping it in mind and hopefully I'll be there. Sounds like it will be so much fun!
