| puppy expos I'm getting so sick and tired of seeing puppy expo places around where I live. There is one close to St.louis which is about a 2 hour drive, and now there is one in my city. It breaks my heart, because I was told they sold 30 pups last weekend. These people buy a puppy because it's cute, without researching the breed and thinking on it. My daughter volunteers at the humane society and it just saddens me to know that they are going to be the forgotten ones now. I'm hoping the high prices of these purebred pups will scare most people away, but obviously it didn't scare too many people away, if they sold 30 their first weekend being open. You wanna know the sad part, is I was told that the staff would show the buyer a pic of what the pup would look like all grown up. That tells you right there that the buyer doesn't know anything about the dog they are purchasing. And of course they are puppy mill dogs, that are way over priced!!!!

| PETSMART just loans their cages to showcase puppies and kitten from the shelters and or rescues, which is a great thing for them to do. It gives shelter animals some exposure they might not otherwise have. And they don't really "SELL" the dogs, the adoptions are done through whatever organization the animal belongs to. |
