I saw a picture on their website of one cute little girl yorkie. The rest were not ones that I would want for one reason or another. Everyone has a different idea of what they want though, so what I likeyou may not and that's pkay. I really would like to know price but I couldn't find any. |
There are many threads on here that will really help you out. You can learn about size, health issues, hypoglycemia, dangers, shots and much more. There is a faq thread pinned at the top of the General Yorkie Discussion section and the search feature. I would say don't rush into anything, if you take your time and look carefully you will have a much better chance of getting exactly what you want. |

Ok I think I know where this place is and prob been in it. Is it the petstore not too far from kings plaza mall? |
I looked at the pics online and if its the yorkie I think it may be she is really cute :). Of course in the long run it is your choice whether to purchase from them or not. Just be sure to go through that health guarantee they are providing you, even though I see they recommend their vets to save you money I would definately take her to a vet not in connection with the store atleast once to be examined. Also you didnt say how much she is costing. AKC is usually more and I also noticed that the registration papers could take upto 6months for you to receive, if you havent been told yet be aware that there have been people that have purchased with such agreements and never got their papers. Papers arent always important but you wouldnt want to pay a high price for a pup and not be given the papers. Yeah and as everyone here has basically told you unfortunately no one could guarantee you the weight of the pup as an adult. They could all just estimate depending on age and current weight. I say spend some time in the store and monitor things in there and if possible spend a lil time with the pup to see if you see or notice any obvious signs of illness. Heres the guarantee from them which i'm sure you prob seen already http://www.puppiesdirect.com/ourgurantee.htm I'll look for and send you some links if i find any breeders in ny or close incase you wanna look around. If you decide not to get her will you get your deposit back? |
Janine and Jack, hi and welcome to YorkieTalk. You will learn so much here. This is the best dog site on the web!! JMHO, LOL! Congratulations on your decision to get a Yorkie. They are such a sweet and loving breed. We are passionate about our furbabies here. We are also passionately against puppy mills. Please do a search here on puppy mills. Many pet stores that carry a large variety of puppies are supplied by them. Since you have already put a deposit on your little girl and have visited a few times you are likely already committed emotionally as well as financially. No one here will condemn you for going through with the purchase. However if you decide you need to go another route, then you can find lots of info here as well. Good luck and post pictures of your baby when you get one. |
