| Nadia update! This is about our little Nadia - people at the fair did get to meet her, but from afar. She was very sick as a pup and has had her growth stunted. She is 13 weeks old and about 12 1/2 oz. Here is the update! Last night was a great breakthrough were Nadia ate some of her dog food that we had put in a blender. We were sooo proud of her. Today though she had the runs and had a hypoglycemic problem. If you know me I fliped out thinking she had her sickness back again so we rushed to the vet. The vet is very pleased with how she is looking. He said that even though we don't see a big weight change he can really see that she has grown a lot! Her lungs, heart and eyes are all very healthy. I also brought up the point if there was anything else I could shampoo her face with because I cut down to washing her face only once a week since her hair was starting to fall out. He said to go ahead and wash it - it's going to fall out!! He assures me it WILL grow back. It is from lack of nutriants in her body when she was sick. The new hair will grow in much nicer and it will be good for her to have the old nasty hair out. ACK a bald Yorkie! Hopefully it will grow back fast! LOL He said as for her having the runs it's from her actually eating real food. He said that with all the meds she was on (even though we stopped them a few weeks ago) it killed off all of the bacteria in her belly - good and bad. So she just has some stuff we have to put in her food for a while. He said we are not over the hump of her growing up, but we are well on our way UP!! YEAH!! He is amazed by how well she is doing and said he really didn't think she would make it this far - he said we have done a good job!! He also said he has never seen a pup of this size nor heard of one - I told him that I sure wouldn't want it!! I want bigger! So all in all it looks like we may have a bald (or partly bald) Nadia for a while, but she is on her way UP!

| Yeah for Nadia eating!!!!!! That is a great sign. She is such a little fighter. Even though she will be really tiny, she obviously has a spunky attitude and we just know she will be fine!!!!!!

| Glad to hear your baby is improving! Nothing is more nerve wracking. Hope she continues to get stronger.

| Yay Nadia! I know she will make it through this. She has to get big and strong so she can beat up her brother next time she sees him. Hugs from Lancelot. |
