| Update on Riley's spay Thanks to all for your good thoughts and prayers. My little girl came through her spay and teeth removal just fine. Her temp was low after surgery so they gave her hot water bottles to snuggle with until it returned to normal. They said she still wanted to snuggle with them after that. "Like mother like daughter"... heehee! They removed both inscisors on the top, and she has little stitches there; soft food for now, or at least soaked kibble. I have her home now. We took a 3-hr nap during which the last hour she squirmed a bit and whimpered. I got her up, took her out, fed soft food, gave meds, and now she's in her kennel to rest some more. I hate seeing her little tummy. Somehow it seems much harder (for me to see) with her because she's just so tiny. She also has the inside of both her forearms shaved where they couldn't access the vein in one and had to go to another. As if we didn't have enough trouble growing her leg hair. I don't care, though. She's my girl, and she's home safely. |

| So happy to hear that Riley came through so well. I know how hard it is! She will be her old self in a few days, until then, enjoy the time nursing her back to health.

| I'm glad Riley got thru the surgery fine. It wont be long until you probably cant even see the scar from the incision. My dr's did such a fantastic job on mine you can barely see it now. She'll be fine i'm sure. Glad you updated everyone.
