| ![]() The breeder who sold us Gracie told us she would be 5 pounds. She weighs in at 8.2 pounds and does not have an ounce of fat on her. She is beautiful. I do think she is a little long though - she seems longer between the head and tail than most yorkies. Does anyone else have a yorkie who is too long? What is too long? How much space should there be between the head and tail? |

| ![]() I don't know about too long...BUT Maximus is long and heavier then he would supposedly be...he is 4.5 at almost 16 weeks...lol..and he is growing by the vet visit...he is little but when I buy him an xs shirt it will fit him but be way to short..makes him have a trunk like JLO..he looks so tiny till you get to his RUMP..and then BAM..while a small is too big everywhere else except length..also he is not fat but tall...his mom and dad weren't all that long but we will see..

| ![]() My yorkie, Willy, is 13lbs he's 6 now & has been that size for years. I love that he is bigger, he doesn't seem to be a fragile as some of the smaller ones. He is nice & solid, definately no fat on him. Desiree |

| ![]() I took Mia to the vet yesterday and she is exactly 9lb on the nose . She is long, but not tall 7 months old. Pierce is 6lb if I place them side by side he looks so tiny next to her. I was able to carry both puppies in a carrier, now it kills my back due to the weight. It does not matter she is so lovable that we adore her to death ![]() Liza Nana to Pierce & Mia ![]() |

| ![]() Yorkies were originally bred to be 17 lb so those of us with bigger babes have the old fashioned originals I always think ![]() |

| ![]() Not every family wants a small Yorkshire Terrier. Folks with young active children enjoy the sturdiness that a larger dog provides them. The family gets to enjoy all the things that make a yorkie a yorkie without the worry. They are no less a Yorkie in the love and devotion they give. Wnalegria |

| ![]() WELL.... meet Bailey... 13 pounds also!! I've been telling people he is 9 pounds,, cause thats what he weighed about 3-4 months ago.... And Ive blocked out the extra weight Ive felt over those months.... Like carrying a big bag-o- potatoes! ![]() But,,, WHAT CAN YA DO??? Ya love em... there big,, but then I also think... they are still a VERY SMALL DOG,,compared to most! SO ,,, Love em,, and dont worry about it. ![]()

| ![]() I too have a giant yorkie. Paisley is 10lbs and all muscle. Her breeder told us that she would only be about 5lbs...man did they get that wrong! I call her my lil "mouth piece" as she is very verbal. Just more to love. |
